Wukeng Township
Wukeng township is located in the easternmost part of Qingtian County, Zhejiang Province, 41 kilometers away from the county. It is located in a mountainous area with an altitude of 280 meters, on the North Bank of the lower reaches of Oujiang River, bordering waiao and Shangtong Huanglong in Qiaotou town of Yongjia County in the East, facing xiaozhoushan Township in the south, Huanglong Township, shikengling, Jinkengkou and Shipingchuan in the west, chakeng, Zhoushan village, waidang village and xiaozhoushan village in xunzhai town in the north Fengshan forest farm. The territory has a subtropical monsoon climate, with an annual average temperature of 19.1 ℃, the coldest air temperature in January is minus 7 ℃, and the highest temperature in July is 39 ℃, with a short frost free period. The annual rainfall is about 1500 mm, with 165 days of precipitation and 1783 hours of sunshine.
administrative division
Covering an area of 36 square kilometers, the township has 10 administrative villages (26 natural villages), namely wukeng village, Shidong village, tangkeng village, Quancheng village, Dongxi village, Zhangshan village, Xialong village, Daren village, Pingan village and hepingyan village. There are 94 villager groups with 2700 people in the township (in 2017). The left behind people are engaged in traditional farming and breeding, and use the advantage of being close to Yongjia bridgehead to operate family processing.

wukeng township has good natural and climatic conditions, which is suitable for cultivation of many kinds of plants. Grain crops include rice, wheat, potato, beans, corn, etc., with a planting area of 2862 mu, 225 mu, 1064 Mu and 436 Mu respectively, and a total output of 954 tons, 47 tons, 373 tons and 52 tons respectively. The main economic crops are vegetables and rape, with the planting area of 603 Mu and 189 Mu respectively, and the total output of 1906 tons and 21 tons respectively.

the suitable forest area of the township is 42582 mu, the forest land is 41494 mu, the timber forest is 35539 mu, the timber stock has reached 50000 cubic meters, the output value has reached 25 million yuan, and the economic forest planting area has reached 1459 mu. The forest coverage rate reached 77.9%. The forestry income of the township reached 743000 yuan in 2008.
Animal husbandry resources
pig, cattle and sheep are mainly cultivated in the township to promote poultry breeding. In 2008, there were 822 pigs, 135 cattle, 670 sheep and 4000 birds on hand. In 2008, the income of animal husbandry reached 2.782 million yuan.

The transportation of the whole township is convenient, the highway network crisscross, extending in all directions. County Road huanghuang highway (Huangyang township to Huangren village, Qiaotou town, Yongjia County) passes through wukeng and connects with 49 provincial highway and 330 National Highway through Qiaotou town, Yongjia County; every village connects with Kangzhuang Road, with a total length of 26.845 km; the construction of cultural radio and television keeps pace with the times, with complete program-controlled telephone, mobile communication and other facilities. Cable radio and television cables connect every village, with more than 1100 cable TV users. There is a Township Central School with 15 teachers and staff and 77 students. There are 6 classes in total. In 2006 and 2005, it was rated as the provincial and municipal education strong Township respectively. One township health center with 3 employees provides good medical and health conditions for local people. The wukeng cultural center will be put into use in September 2009 with an investment of more than 800000 yuan. It will provide a good place for entertainment and leisure for local people.
Economic situation
In 2008, the total economic income of the township reached 64.062 million yuan, an increase of 7.3%, of which the total industrial output value reached 6.14 million yuan, an increase of 9.9%; the total income of farmers reached 60.204 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers reached 5583 yuan, an increase of 4.8%.

The township has developed more than 600 mu of dry fruit base. At the same time, we should increase the investment in science and technology, increase the content of science and technology, and vigorously develop the breeding industry. By the end of 2008, the township has developed 4 professional livestock farms.
industrial economy
Wukeng township's industrial economy is relatively weak, with an annual output value of 6.14 million yuan, mainly focusing on hydropower development. Taking advantage of the location advantages of the whole town and the high-low gap, wukeng township has built five small and medium-sized reservoirs in tangkeng and Xiayang villages. A total of 11.2 million cubic meters of water is stored, with an annual power generation capacity of 4.5 million kWh and an annual output value of 2.25 million yuan.

There are nearly 7000 people working in business in the whole Township, accounting for more than 65% of the total population. In 2008, the total income of the tertiary industry was more than 66 million yuan. Among them, the income of service industry is 9.8 million yuan, the income of commercial beverage industry is 30 million yuan, and the labor export of farmers is 26 million yuan.
Revolutionary commemoration
In April 1930, a meeting of the leaders of the party branches, Red Army guerrillas and peasant associations of the villages of 26du, 27du, 28du, 29du and 30du was held at Shuikou Changsheng Dadi temple in Panshan Village (now Quancheng Village), wukeng township. More than 90 people attended the meeting, and Zou gengshan presided over the meeting. Li Zhensheng, member of the CPC Yongjia Central County Committee, announced publicly on behalf of the central county committee the establishment of the 28 District Revolutionary Committee of the Red Army, and appointed Zou gengshan as the person in charge of the 28 District Revolutionary Committee. This is the first worker peasant Soviet political power organization in Qingtian County. The establishment of the Revolutionary Committee of the 28th District of the Red Army encouraged the participants, and the revolutionary principles were further widely publicized among the masses. Since then, the revolutionary situation in Qingtian has been rising. In order to remember this important and significant event, remember the heroic achievements of the revolutionary ancestors, inherit and carry forward the revolutionary traditional spirit, in October 2012, the Dutch Qingtian Association and Zou gengshan's descendants took the lead in donating money to build pavilions and erect monuments.
