Zhoushan town is located in the southeast of Yongkang City, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, at the junction of Yongkang and Jinyun. Historical evolution
In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Wuping township. In the Republic of China, it belonged to Yunyuan Township and Sijing township. In 1950, it was divided into two townships, Zhoushan and Qiancun. In 1956, the two townships were merged and renamed Zhoushan township. In 1958, it was renamed Zhoushan administrative area. In 1961, it was renamed Zhoushan commune. In 1983, it was renamed Zhoushan township. In March 1992, it was withdrawn from the township to build a town and named Zhoushan town.
