Rao Yuling (1543-1595) was born in Dapu County in Ming Dynasty. He was the eldest son of Rao Xiang. He was a Jinshi in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. He tried to be the governor of the imperial court, and later he was a member of Zhongshu society. In his later years, he often helped the poor in the countryside. His works include Xinji tiayong, Songlin ramble, Chungui collection, etc. At present, a memorial archway on the front of chayang front street, with the words "Si Lun Shi Mei" on the front and "father and son Jinshi" on the back, is to commend his father and son. It is a key protected cultural relic unit in Guangdong Province.
