Yunyan tower is a soil foundation structure. It is a landmark building of Theravada Buddhism in Southwest Yunnan. It belongs to a group of pagodas with covered bowls and Vajra seats. It is composed of one main tower and 40 model towers.
The bottom of the tower, covering an area of 400 square meters, is a multi-layer brick concrete structure, which is composed of a main tower (20 meters high) and 40 small towers, all of which are conical in shape. On the base of the tower, there are five levels of altar platforms. On the first level, there are seven small towers on each side. Starting from the second level, they contract layer by layer. There are one small tower on each corner of each level, which is a square Mizu seat. The main tower is tall and majestic, with lotus petals, Luxi and other decorative patterns carved on its body. The top of the tower is covered with gold foil, and the rest is coated with white lime.

Yunyan pagoda, also known as manmengting pagoda, is located on Yunyan mountain, 1km east of Yingjiang County. "Yunyan" is a Dai language, meaning auspicious, joyful and desirable place. It is one of the most important pagodas of Hinayana Buddhism in Yunnan Province. The pagoda was built in 1947 and took eight years to complete. Although it is a modern product, it has a strong ancient style and is listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in Yunnan Province.

You can have a panoramic view of the pagoda from the towering shade green banyan trees to the front edge of the pagoda along the concrete steps 4 meters wide and 80 meters long. Near Yunyan pagoda, there are also cultural relics signs of national festivals, such as "Mu Nao Shi Dong" and "splash water pagoda". From the 15th to the 17th of the first month of each year, Jingpo people's "Mu Nao Zong Ge" Festival is held. The Dai People's splash water festival begins on the seventh day after Qingming Festival.
