Chongzheng Academy

reconstruction
In 1980, the Nanjing municipal government funded the reconstruction of Chongzheng Academy. The design was personally directed by Professor Yang Tingbao, a famous architectural expert of Southeast University. It took two years to complete. It is recorded that "the left side of the entrance is the prison house, the right side is the squire's commune, and then the entrance is the lecture hall. There are 30 links between the East and the West.
Shape and structure
The academy is divided into three parts according to the mountain situation. The first hall and the second hall are connected by two corridors on both sides. There are various flower windows on the wall of the corridor, and two stone tablets are embedded in the east wall of the corridor. Between the second Hall and the third hall is an open bluestone platform, with a group of small landscapes on the east side. The three halls are the commanding heights of the park. When you look up from a distance, you can have a panoramic view of the surrounding green. When you enter the hall, four large-scale murals are eye-catching, representing the four seasons of Jinling's chunniushou, xiazhongshan, qiuqixia and dongshicheng. In 1992, the "Chinese stone Museum" was added to the academy to display more than 100 kinds of natural stones from all over the country, adding new cultural connotations to the ancient relics. In 2003, the "Chinese stone Museum" was moved to the new museum at the foot of the mountain.
