Xinen Hall

Xinen hall is a Gothic building, with two floors and an auxiliary building. It doesn't arrive every weekend, and there are Cantonese sermons on Sunday afternoon. During the Christmas period, Christmas services will be held at 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. on December 23, and Christmas Music Worship will be held at 7:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. on December 24, there will be more large-scale Christmas Music Worship. You can feel and integrate into the atmosphere of Christmas here, and it won't be as crowded as the Christian International chapel. Urumqi North Road gathering house is located at No. 25, Urumqi North Road. It is in American academic Gothic style. It has a cross shaped plane. The elevation is similar to Christian jingling hall, with a floor height of 9.48 meters. The plane layout and roof slope, as well as the pointed windows on the front and side facades show American academic Gothic style. It has high artistic value and historical and humanistic value. In 2005, xinentang was listed as the fourth batch of excellent historical buildings in Shanghai.

Xinen hall is located at the corner of Urumqi North Road, south of Wanhangdu Road. The house was built in 1939 by Taiji engineering company. It has one main floor and two local floors on the east side of the main church.

The building is divided into East and West churches. The church on the west side is the East-West main church, and the chapel on the east side is the North-South one.

The two churches in the East and the West are built on two sloping roofs with green clay tiles. It is a roof of more than 30 degrees. Copper wire is used to connect the back of the tile with the hanging tile strip. The water on the roof is made of white iron. There is no chimney on the roofs of the East and West churches. There is a chimney in the kitchen of the church in the southeast corner of the east house, and the prefabricated concrete gable is used to press the roof. The connecting house between the East and West churches is a reinforced concrete flat roof. The auxiliary house in the southeast side and the West church have a chimney The entrance is also reinforced concrete flat roof with fair faced brick parapet. The reinforced concrete flat roof adopts membrane waterproof layer.

The facade of the building is a green brick fair faced wall building. The window cover of the external wall around the building, the bridge bar between the windows of the West cathedral and the entrance door cover between the East and West churches are made of cement cut stone. However, due to weathering, the texture of the cut stone is not very clear. The external wall plinth of the building is painted with cement. The exterior windows of the East and West churches and the auxiliary rooms are steel windows. The west entrance of the west main church and the middle main entrance between the two churches are Liuan glass wood doors, and the inner wood doors are Liuan wood doors. Indoor walls are painted with yellow sand paper towel and white emulsion paint. In the kitchen on the southeast side of the house, white tiles are fully pasted. The skirting line in the main church is wood skirting line, the skirting line at the two entrances is stone skirting line, and the skirting line is wood skirting line in the auxiliary rooms and other rooms with wood floors.

The hall of the church is covered with 600 × 600 glazed tiles, and the first floor of the west main church is covered with wooden platform. The floor of the west entrance of the church is square grindstone floor. On the north and south sides of the west entrance of the church, there are small reinforced concrete stairs leading to the second floor. The small stairs are cement faced and painted with red floor paint. The second floor is also a cement surface, painted with red floor paint. The floor of the main entrance between the two churches is a colored checkered terrazzo floor. The terrazzo part includes the corridor of the West church. The East Church has only one floor. The hall in the church is covered with 600 × 600 vitrified tiles. The kitchen is on the side, and the kitchen is equipped with anti-skid floor tiles. Further south for the conference room, classrooms and other auxiliary rooms, the room floor for the new wood. The eastern and Western church houses are brick and wood structure houses, and the roof bearing structure of the main church is gable and square timber roof truss. The auxiliary buildings are brick concrete structures with reinforced concrete flat roof.

Urumqi North Road gathering house

(1951-1962)

In 1951, missionaries were withdrawn from the mainland.

Therefore, Xinzha Road Mandarin Church, Fengyang road family gathering and Christian Fellowship jointly took over the church.

It was changed into Urumqi North Road meeting hall, which was in the charge of pastor Yang Shaotang.

It was closed during the cultural revolution in 1966.

Huaien Hall

In March 1989, all the houses were returned and rebuilt as a branch of Wynne hall to maintain its original style.

On September 24, 1989, the hall officially reopened.

In 2005, xinentang was listed as the fourth batch of excellent historical buildings in Shanghai, with three categories of protection.
