Historical evolution
In 1958, the Shanghai Municipal Garden Management Office built a nursery on the South Bank of Dianshan Lake in Dianfeng and xicen, with a land area of 1.04 million square meters. Later, due to the national economic difficulties, the nursery was withdrawn from 1961 to 1962, and the land was returned to agriculture.
On October 23, 1978, the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of landscape architecture proposed to build Dianshan Lake scenic spot. On October 25, 1978, Peng Chong, the third secretary of the Shanghai municipal Party committee, made a field survey and determined that the site should be located in yangshe. On November 17 of the same year, with the approval of the Municipal Planning Committee, it was agreed to make a comprehensive plan and build it by stages to gradually build a relatively complete scenic spot. In the first phase, Guanwang temple and yangshe were built first.
Since January 1979, the land acquisition of Dianfeng brigade and yangshe brigade by Dianshan Lake has been divided into two phases, the first phase is 308200 square meters, the second phase is 593200 square meters, a total of 9014000 square meters. All the land acquisition work was completed on December 27, 1979.
At the beginning of 1980, the construction of greening along with Terrain Reconstruction and the construction of roads, bridges and culverts, revetments and other basic projects began. In order to support the construction of Grand View Garden in Shanghai, the relevant departments of Beijing allocated Shishi to Shanghai. In the second half of 1981, the construction of "yihongyuan" first broke the ground and was completed in May 1984. It was opened to receive tourists on the 27th. Then, it opened up while building. The Qingshang highway and baishiji bridge within the tourist area were reconstructed by the Municipal Engineering Bureau in 1986.
The construction of Daguanyuan antique building complex lasted for seven years and was completed on October 15, 1988. The whole area was opened to the public on October 20, 1988. It was originally named Dianshan Lake scenic spot in Shanghai. In January 1985, it was renamed Dianshan Lake Grand View Garden scenic spot in Shanghai. In 1991, it was named Shanghai Grand View Garden.
Design layout
The design of Grand View Garden is obviously different from Beijing Grand View Garden in that Shanghai Grand View Garden uses the characteristics of Jiangnan Water Town to arrange a large area of artificial lakes in the garden
. With the main gate - Tiren mude - grand view building as the central axis, there are more than 10 groups of buildings and more than 20 scenic spots, with a total construction area of 7837 square meters. The rockery with winding paths leading to seclusion is designed as the entrance barrier, and a 16 meter high hill is built as the background of the grand view building, which forms the magnificent momentum of the grand view building with water on the back of the hill. With the lake as the center, the park connects the scenic spots with ponds and Qinfang River, forming a water system with main branches, dynamic and static. There are pavilions and pavilions by the lake, curved bridges, stone boats and stone lanterns in the lake, and Bridge pavilions on the stream, forming a Jiangnan garden scenery with heavy mountains and flowing water. The Grand View Garden uses the traditional Chinese architectural concept that the garden must be sealed and partitioned to achieve momentum flow and cohesion center. It builds a closed and centripetal small world with rich connotation, increases the level of scenery, integrates architecture and environment, and makes the Grand View Garden Landscape reappear in a dream of Red Mansions.
