Zhuhai Museum is located in Jida Jingshan Road, Zhuhai City, between Shijingshan tourist center and Zhuhai hotel. It is located in the center of tourism, commerce, finance, politics and culture in Zhuhai. It is one of the landmark buildings in Zhuhai. Zhuhai Museum is a local comprehensive museum under the jurisdiction of Zhuhai culture, radio, television, press and Publication Bureau (Copyright Bureau). Founded in June 1985, officially opened to the outside world on October 15, 1988, and moved to Jiuzhou city in 1999. The main work of the museum includes the collection, research and display of cultural relics, as well as the investigation, excavation, protection and collection of local historical relics, so as to promote local history and culture, promote patriotic education and enhance the cultural taste of Zhuhai.

Located between Jingshan tourist center and Zhuhai Hotel, Zhuhai Museum has a collection of nearly 15000 pieces, including stone tools, bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy, painting, sculpture, seals, coins, badges, fossils, documents and more than 20 categories, including 15 first-class cultural relics, 251 second-class cultural relics and 909 third-class cultural relics.

In 2013, Zhuhai Museum was awarded the qualification certificate of archaeological excavation group leader by the State Administration of cultural relics.

Historical evolution

In 1984, the construction of Zhuhai Museum began. Jiuzhou city is located in the prosperous area of Zhuhai. It is a distinctive classical garden style building complex.

In June 1985, Zhuhai Museum was established as a local comprehensive museum under the jurisdiction of Zhuhai Municipal Bureau of culture, culture and tourism (Copyright Bureau).

On October 15, 1988, Zhuhai Museum was officially opened to the public.

In 1990, General Secretary Jiang Zemin and other party and state leaders went to the city tower to attend the 10th anniversary celebration of Zhuhai Special Economic Zone.

In 1999, Zhuhai Museum moved to Jiuzhou city.

Architectural features

The tower of Jiuzhou city is decorated with yellow glazed tile surface, green ridge and double eaves, creating a magnificent and attractive scenery. The city is dotted with many antique buildings, pavilions, waterside pavilions and corridors. The rockery, flowers and trees are arranged along the Bank of the garden. They are interspersed with each other, and the dynamic and static are combined. The famous scenic spots in the city are "Chengquan around the stone", "Haijiao wonder", "xiyuchi", "guanhetang", "danquan", "Xiniao corridor", "climbing the tower and overlooking".
