Huya Tibetan Township
Huya Tibetan Township, located in the northwest of Pingwu County, Mianyang City, is the source of Fujiang River, a secondary tributary of the Yangtze River. It is located in the southeast of Xuebaoding, the main peak of Minshan Mountain, and borders on Xuebaoding National Nature Reserve. With a total area of 480.1 square kilometers, it governs five administrative villages with 2714 people (2017).
Huya Township, Jiuzhaigou, a fairyland in the world, and Huanglong Temple, a fairyland in the world, are located in the Minshan mountains. Historical evolution
The name of Huya township was first used in October 1956. It was changed into Huya people's commune in 1959, and it was changed into Huya Tibetan Township on September 30, 1983. Since then, the name of the township has remained unchanged.

Huya Tibetan township is located in the birthplace of Fujiang River, with rapid flow and large drop. It has unique conditions for hydropower development. A hydropower station with an installed capacity of 54000 kW has been built, and a 50000 kW hydropower station is planned.

The township is rich in forest resources, with a forest area of 7260 million mu, accounting for more than 90% of the total area of the township.
