Fengshan
Fengshan, formerly known as Kongtong mountain, stretches more than 40 kilometers from southwest to northeast across Ganxian County, Zhanggong district and Nankang city. It lies in the south of Ganzhou City and becomes the Xiangshan and Wangshan of Ganzhou City. The Fengshan mountain range is composed of a series of peaks. The easternmost yangxianling mountain, which borders the Gongjiang River Valley, is 412m above sea level. It is said that Yang Junsong, a famous geomantic grandmaster and Canyu family, once taught in this mountain. Yangxian temple is built on the top of the mountain, hence the name of the mountain. From yangxianling to the west, there are yajidong, Jiufengshan, yepingshan, baogaifeng, shiziyan, tianzidi, niuhedong and other peaks.
Baogaifeng
The highest peak of the mountains is Baogai peak, 1016 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in the suburbs of Ganzhou. According to Ganzhou Fu Zhi (Tongzhi Edition) in the Qing Dynasty, "Kongtong mountain, 60 miles south of the city, is a famous mountain in ancient times. It is a group of Wangshan mountains, the highest of which is Baogai peak. In Qing Dynasty, Baogai peak became one of the eight scenic spots in Ganzhou - Baogai Chaoyun. Under Baogai peak, there is a temple Kongshan jingshe, and in front of the jingshe there is a Baojing pool. During the Republic of China, foreign missionaries also built villas under Baogai peak. There is also Dishui village waterfall in the north of Fengshan mountain. In the south of the mountain, there is Longtan waterfall with a drop of 60 meters. In recent years, a peculiar "tongluogu" rock has been found in wuzhaolong mountain, about 1200 meters away from the main peak of Fengshan mountain.
For a long time, the beautiful scenery of Fengshan has been praised by the literati of all dynasties. In the Northern Song Dynasty, Li Puyou, a professor of Qianzhou, wrote a poem praising: "the roots of clouds show the green lotus, the smoke flutters in the clouds, the clouds fly in the clouds, the Nine Dragons of the earth stung, and the Tianhe school practices in the sky.". After the reform and opening up, the government has increased the development and utilization of Fengshan tourism resources. In 1995, Fengshan was designated as a provincial key scenic spot.
Fengshan construction
In 1980, Fengshan mountain climbing Road was built. The road starts from Shashi Town at the foot of the mountain, with a total length of 19 kilometers. It can circle to the top of Baogai peak. There is a tunnel on the highway, with a total length of 60 meters. There are judicial police training schools and fairy stone on the mountain road. In 1982, Huilong Pavilion, Baofeng Pavilion, shiziyan spring corridor and Fengshan first villa were built at the turning point of Fengshan highway. In 1983, the office building and reception room of Fengshan Management Office were built in tianzidi, on the west side of shiziyan, with a modern stele corridor inside. In 1989, Fengshan Forest Park was established, covering an area of 171200 mu, including 155000 mu of mountainous area.
In 1982, two radio and television receiving and relaying towers with a height of more than 70 meters were built on the top of the peak, covering 18 counties (cities and districts) in southern Jiangxi and parts of the neighboring areas of Shaoguan, Binzhou and Longyan. In the 1990s after the reform and opening up, with the rapid development of communication industry, a voice signal transmission tower was built at the peak of Fengshan. So far, a unique one of the eight sceneries in modern Ganzhou has been formed. It is a combination of nature and human language, simplicity and fashion. People always have different customs and feelings when they look at it because of its various appearances and ups and downs. The towering iron towers have become the landmark buildings of Ganzhou's information technology to promote the modernization process, and also add modern atmosphere and towering momentum to the ancient peak mountain. Among the eight new sceneries in Ganzhou, the peak tower is the most spectacular one.
