Longtan West Lake Park is located in the southeast of Beijing City, close to the northwest of Beijing amusement park. It was founded in 1986. In 1991, Longtan West Lake Park Management Office was officially established, which is mainly responsible for the operation and management of the park. Now it is an enterprise unit under the ownership of the whole people, with a total area of 10.5 hectares, 157.2 mu, including 85.5 mu of water surface. Water and land are half, green willows become shade. There are nearly 30000 square meters of green space in the park, with a green coverage rate of 56%.

Development history

Longtan West Lake was originally a part of Longtan Lake Park, which was built in 1986. In 1991, Longtan West Lake Park Management Office was formally established, and now it is a public institution under the ownership of the whole people and funded by the landscape Bureau of Dongcheng District. The park management office is mainly responsible for the operation and management of the park, as well as undertaking landscaping projects and maintenance and management.

Main attractions

The main landscape is "Liuan Guanhe". There are two long dikes in the north and south of the lake. The South dikes are 130 meters long and the North dikes are 210 meters long. The lake along the dikes is full of lotus and reed, and an island is built in the center of the lake. There is a hexagonal pavilion built in Tushan on the Bank of Hubei Province. It is a class II and class III Park in Beijing. The park is equipped with garden lamp lighting system, broadcasting system, road chairs and other facilities. 1396 trees, 1980 flowering shrubs and 27600 square meters of lawn are planted in the park, forming a garden landscape with flowers in three seasons and evergreen in four seasons. The park has elegant environment, pleasant scenery and green willows. It creates a warm and comfortable leisure environment for local people, which makes visitors happy The annual reception volume reaches 100000 person times.

The whole garden is divided into liuhexuan, Lotus Pond Moonlight, Nanshan and Beishan leisure areas. Liuhexuan green space is the key and main scenic spot of the whole garden, with Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Ginkgo biloba and other precious tree species. More than 100 kinds of trees, shrubs and flowers are planted in the garden, including 1476 trees, 2040 flowering shrubs and 27000 square meters of lawn, forming a garden landscape with flowers in three seasons and evergreen in four seasons. The park is an ideal place for tourists to walk, relax, entertain and keep fit.
