Tokson county has a long sunshine time and abundant light and heat resources, with an annual light rate of 69%, a frost free period of 276 days and an average annual temperature of 13.8 ℃. It is rich in water resources. There are six rivers in the territory, all of which come from the snowmelt peak of Tianshan Mountain in the northwest. Keerjian tourist area is located at the tuyere of Dabancheng, where the wind is strong and the wind speed is fast. Sometimes it can blow continuously for more than ten days. The days with strong wind above grade 8 (wind speed 17.2-20.7 M / s) account for one third of the whole year.

Introduction to rock paintings

Rock paintings are scattered on both sides of kerjian ditch, and on the east bank are carved on scattered sandstone. There are more than 100 existing rock paintings.

The main contents are sheep and material shepherds, about 3-4 places. The rock paintings on the West Bank are the main body of the rock paintings, which are divided into two parts: one is 21 rock paintings, covering an area of 28.05 square meters. The main contents are people, deer, dogs, camels, sheep, hunting and grazing scenes. There are also patterns of tigers chasing deer in front and hunters shooting arrows behind. The second is the water system map of Kerr alkali. A water system map is carved on a huge stone with an area of 42 square meters. It depicts nearly 38 large and small rivers, springs and canals by means of engraving, and shows the distribution of the local natural water system stereoscopically and realistically by using the natural slope of the stone. The longest section of the stone river is 3-5 meters long and 7-8 meters deep. In the lower reaches of the water system map, there are also vivid pictures of a large number of hunters on horseback and hunting, and various grassland animals eating grass, drinking water and running. According to relevant experts, these rock paintings and water system maps belong to the remains of Cheshi people from the 6th to 7th century BC.

Tuokesun county is located in the central part of Xinjiang. It is an important road and hub connecting Southern Xinjiang, Northern Xinjiang and eastern Xinjiang. Lanzhou Xinjiang Railway, 312 and 314 national highways pass through the county. There is a three-level railway station (tuokesun railway station) in the tourist area, and the scenic spots are connected by a township highway.

protective measures

As the scenic spot does not have the conditions for opening to the outside world, the Turpan Cultural Relics Bureau and the tuxeon County Office of cultural administration only adopt the methods of protection and partial maintenance to protect the relics. So at present, it is still a cultural relic scenic spot that is not open to the public.

In July 1999, the Kele alkali rock painting and water system map were announced by the people's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region as cultural relics protection units of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
