Shouyun National Mine Park

Shouyun National Mine Park is located in Jugezhuang Town, Miyun County, Beijing, covering an area of 3.58 square kilometers, 16 kilometers from Miyun County and 80 kilometers from Beijing urban area. So far, it is a rare mining tourism theme park in China. It is the first example of the synchronous implementation of iron ore operation and theme tourism in Beijing and even in the whole country. It takes mining tourism as the theme, sports tourism as the content, and experiential theme activities as the carrier. It is a theme tourism area integrating mining tourism, entertainment and leisure, expansion and training It is the first National Mine Park in Beijing, which is mainly composed of mining heritage area, geological heritage area, industrial production area and tourism reception area.

Main attractions

In the mining heritage area, there is a large open pit with a vertical depth of more than 300 meters after nearly half a century of open pit mining. There are only two geological relics of plagioclase rapakivi granite in the geological relic area, one in Sweden, Europe, and the other in Miyun, Beijing. The industrial production area is a tourist area composed of production process, with three visiting projects of "Wastewater Engineering", "waste rock engineering" and "tailings sand lifting engineering". In the only iron ore Museum in Beijing, visitors can learn science knowledge of iron ore and ore through various high-tech means, such as book flipping in the air, phantom imaging, magnetic levitation earth model, dynamic cinema and so on.

The scenic area is rich in animal and plant resources and fresh air, which is very suitable for tourism, leisure, conference training, outward bound training, etc. Accommodation, catering and entertainment facilities are complete.

Shouyun National Mine Park is a social classroom activity unit of primary and secondary schools in Beijing and a popular science education base in Beijing.
