Gothic, Roman, Roman, Germanic, Russian classical and other medieval western buildings give you a taste of exotic style and taste. Before entering, banks, credit cooperatives, credit cooperatives, stock exchanges, trust companies, investment companies, insurance companies, gold and silver jewelry stores, etc. of various names will dazzle you. You have to believe that Jiefang North Road is the "Wall Street" in the East and the richest street.
history
As early as the end of the Qing Dynasty, the Middle Street (Jiefang Road, formerly known as Jiefang Road) flourished with the economic plunder of imperialism. With its geographical advantages of being close to laolongtou railway station (formerly known as Tianjin Station) and Haihe wharf, and being a leased land, it has become a "geomantic treasure land" for foreign financiers. In 1882, the British Bank of Hong Kong took the lead in breaking the ground to build here, followed by France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Russia. It opened the Sino Russian Dao Sheng Bank, Macquarie Bank, Zhengjin bank, industrial and Commercial Bank of China and France, and gradually became the concentration of foreign banks. The luxurious foreign buildings symbolized the growth of foreign financial capital in Tianjin. These banks have strong capital and great influence, and they control the financial industry of Tianjin and even North China. Their main business activities are: supporting foreign banks to monopolize Tianjin's import and export trade; there are many docks and warehouses on the West Bank of Haihe River, which is close to Zhongjie street. In this way, foreign banks provide convenience for domestic businessmen's import and export business. They also borrow money from Chinese businessmen through banks, sell foreign goods and buy raw materials cheaply. Taking HSBC as an example, in the 47 years of CCB in Tianjin, it provided 78 loans to the Qing government and the Beiyang government, with a total of 338.48 million Liang, from which it made huge profits. Zhongjie is the base of imperialist countries' crazy economic plunder of China, and a large amount of gold and silver flow out from here. Some people vividly said: "gold and silver flowing from the middle street to foreign countries can cover the whole street.".

form
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Zhongjie street was renamed Jiefang Road. Due to the unified management of the financial industry by the state, most of the banks, Jindian bank and the stock exchange were cancelled, and only a few of them, such as Tianjin Branch of the people's Bank of China and Tianjin Branch of industrial and Commercial Bank of China, were retained. In recent years, with the progress of reform and opening up, Tianjin municipal government has implemented the design of rebuilding Jiefang Road Financial Street. Jiefang Road takes Tianjin Securities Exchange Center as the leader, Tianjin Branch of people's Bank of China as the behavior center, Tianjin Branch of industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Tianjin Branch of Agricultural Bank of China, Tianjin Branch of people's Construction Bank of China, Tianjin Branch of people's Insurance Company of China, Tianjin investment Bank and Tianjin Securities Department of Bank of communications all set up headquarters here. At the same time, securities institutions and city credit cooperatives all over the country have joined Jiefang Road Financial Street. More than 20 securities institutions, including SDIC, CITIC, China rural credit, Jun'an, Shanyin, anshin, CCB, ABC, BOC and Tianxin, have set up business departments in Jiefang Road and its vicinity. More than 200 securities firms in China hold seats in Tianjin Securities Exchange Center. Today, there are nearly 100 financial institutions on Jiefang Road, which is the pride of our country.
