Yuzhu Wharf
Yuzhu wharf, located in Huangpu District, Guangzhou City, was built in 1983 and rebuilt in 2004. The ferry route mainly connects Changzhou Island and Xinzhou.
Introduction to wharf
Yuzhu wharf was built in 1983 and rebuilt in 2004.
The design idea of the wharf is unique. Considering that the wharf is located along the Pearl River, and next to it is a car ferry wharf, the appearance of the wharf is transparent glass curtain wall, and the whole appearance is like a cruise ship moored by the river.
Wharf reconstruction
Changzhou and Yuzhu wharfs, which communicate with the outside world, were built in the 1960s. They are dilapidated. Due to historical reasons, the property rights of the passenger terminal and the ferry terminal are different (the former belongs to the city ferry company, the latter belongs to the Huangpu District Government), and the location is not in the same place. It is not convenient for pedestrians to transfer. Moreover, due to the design problems of the ferry terminal, it is difficult for the vehicles to travel in the low water period and the high water period As a result, the traffic between Changzhou Island and the outside world is interrupted, which seriously affects the travel of residents and officers and soldiers on the island, as well as the development of tourism resources on Changzhou Island. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the project, the property right and income of the existing ferry terminal have been transferred from Huangpu District government to Guangzhou passenger ship company.
