Baiyang Village
Baiyang village is 25 kilometers northwest of Xingshan County. It is one of the important sites where Li laiheng, the leader of the peasant uprising army in the late Ming Dynasty and the early Qing Dynasty, joined forces with the Ming Dynasty to resist the Qing Dynasty.
brief introduction
In 1653, Li laiheng and others led the people to Xingshan. They took Maolu mountain as their stronghold, took this village as their gateway, and set up sentry posts at Qiliping on the northeast slope of the village. They united with other anti Qing forces and persisted in the struggle for 12 years. In the third year of Kangxi (1664), he was besieged by the Qing army. Although he fought bravely, he finally retreated to Maolu mountain because of the disparity between the rich and the poor. His whole family burned themselves. At present, there are still some sites in the village, such as Shuaifu, Yanwu hall, fengwuying, paomachang, gunpowder Bureau, quewozi and moufangling, among which Li laiheng's "stele of emperor's Palace" in 1655 is the most precious. The surrounding rock walls are steep, the pass is strict, and the old fortress is still vaguely recognizable.
scenic spot
The stele of emperor's palace is on the top of Baiyang village. Li laiheng, the general of the peasant uprising army in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, was established in front of the Guandi temple in 1655. With a height of 4.8 meters and a width of nearly 1 meter, it bears the seal inscription of "the stele of the emperor's Palace" with a rectangular pedestal at the bottom, which is towering and striking. Through the worship of Guan Yu by the peasant army, the inscription takes historical figures such as Zhang Xun and Yue Fei as examples, praises the people with lofty ideals who are loyal to the sun and the moon, criticizes the incorruptible and shameless traitors, and calls on people to carry forward their national integrity, firm their will to "enslave the women" and work together to fight against the Qing Dynasty. The inscriptions also indicate Li laiheng's native place and the titles granted to him by the Southern Ming Dynasty, and list the names and titles of many ministries that are not recorded in history. It is not only a confirmation of Li Zicheng's persistence in uniting the Ming Dynasty and resisting the Qing Dynasty, but also a rare historical material to make up for and correct the deficiencies and errors in the county annals.
