Signal Mountain Park

Why

The original name of this mountain was Dashitou. After the port of Qingdao was built, there was a flag platform on the mountain, which was specially used to transmit signals when ships and sailing boats entered the port. Therefore, it was named "Signal Mountain", also known as "flag mountain". When Germany occupied Qingdao in 1897, it set up guns on the top of the mountain. Later, it built a monument to occupy Qingdao on the mountain, and named the mountain "dilis mountain" to commemorate dilis, commander of the German fleet who occupied Qingdao. After the Japanese occupation of Qingdao, it was renamed "Shenwei mountain" to commemorate the Japanese general Shenwei who occupied Qingdao, and a memorial to the Japanese occupation of Qingdao was also built. These steles, which once brought disgrace to the Chinese people, have long been chiseled away, leaving only remains. In 1922, after Qingdao was recovered, the mountain was named "Signal Mountain".

Versatility

The three red mushroom buildings on the top of the mountain are taken from the three torches of ancient communication. Among them, the revolving viewing building is 20 meters high and has six floors. Langyatai

Langyatai is a towering hill with an altitude of 183.4 meters. Surrounded by the sea on three sides and a small plain in the northwest, it is a famous national key scenic spot.
