Bamianshan is located in the northwest of Jinggangshan. The ditch is deep and the wall is steep. Jinggangshan military base is one of the five sentries. It is known as "the wall built by nature on Jinggang Mountain". In the summer of 1928, the army and people of Jinggangshan built three fortifications, three lines of defense and a sentry post. There is a folk song that goes like this: "the streams in the mountains are long and curved. There is a light on eight sides of the mountains. The Red Army's sentry post is on the hillside. It's like a natural wall. If the reactionary White army comes to attack, it will be doomed. "
In January 1929, the Kuomintang troops carried out the Third Military "suppression" against Jinggangshan. At that time, the tenth brigade of the fifth Red Army and the Dajing Township riot team tenaciously blocked the Kuomintang army, which was dozens of times larger than ours. Peng Baocai, the tenth captain of the fifth Red Army, and most of the Red Army soldiers died bravely.
