Tomb of Chang Yuchun
Located at the northern foot of Zijin Mountain outside taipingmenwai, Xuanwu District, Nanjing, the tomb of Chang Yuchun is a national key cultural relic protection unit and a world cultural heritage site. The tomb of Chang Yuchun is 2.4 meters high and its base is about 29 meters long. The present tombs and stone carvings in front of the tombs are well preserved. There are one stone pillar, two stone horses, two stone sheep, two stone tigers and two military generals.
The stone animal carving technique is exquisite and has both spirit and shape. The samurai stroked his sword with both hands and put on his helmet. The inscription "Tomb of Kaiping king, the late Ming Dynasty ancestor, who met Changgong in spring" is inscribed on the stele. It was erected by his grandson when it was rebuilt in 1871 (February of the 10th year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty).
Tomb specifications
The original site of Chang Yuchun's tomb was Caotang temple, an ancient temple in the Six Dynasties. At the end of Yuan Dynasty, Caotang temple was destroyed by war, and at the beginning of Ming Dynasty, it was the site of Chang Yuchun's tomb. Two stone pillars, two stone horses, two stone tigers, two stone sheep and two stone generals still exist on both sides of the tomb.
According to the records of the cultural relics department, Chang Yuchun's tomb is located in Baima village in the shadow of Zijin Mountain outside Taipingmen gate in Nanjing. It is also said that it is located at the West foot of the third peak of Zhongshan Mountain in Gangzi village, suojin village street outside Taipingmen gate. The cemetery is located on the Zijin Mountain. From the north exit of Fugui mountain tunnel, it goes backward along the North Road. On the left side is a white gable. A small gap can be seen not far away. From here, you can go up the mountain and walk along the path between the mountains. Birds are singing and flowers are fragrant. The sound of cars can be heard outside the mountain. It is quite a paradise. Follow the path for more than 100 meters, you can see the instructions of Qiu Cheng's tomb, continue to move forward, you can see the tomb of Chang Yuchun.
Construction scale
The tomb of Chang Yuchun covers an area of about 2500 square meters. It has been renovated with a diameter of 9.5 meters and a height of 2.4 meters. Shinto existing stone pillar 1, stone horse 2, next to the control horse officer, stone sheep 2, Stone Tiger 2, general 2, tombstone 1. There are several plinths around the cemetery, which is the site of Xiangtang. In 1988, the east main road of the city was built, and the Shinto stone carvings moved 20 meters inward. Song Lian's shendaobei has been lost for a long time. "Jinling historic sites" said that the tomb can not be examined.
Life of the characters
Chang Yuchun (1330-1369), who was born in Huaiyuan, Fengyang Prefecture, nanzhili (now Huaiyuan County, Anhui Province), was a general of Zhu Yuanzhang. Among Zhu's generals, his fame is second only to Xu Da, and he is also second in the credit book, and he is famous for his bravery. Chang fenge goes straight ahead and conquers everything. He made great contributions to the war.
In 1369, he died of spring fever and died on his way home. He was 40 years old. When the coffin was transported back to Nanjing, Zhu Yuanzhang was very sad. He went to Longjiang to pay a memorial ceremony and named him "King Kaiping" with the posthumous title of "Zhongwu". He was buried in Zhongshan Mountain and was entitled to the imperial temple. His portrait was included in the temple of meritorious officials, ranking second.
