Love toss, is a quality, will toss is an art. Young people need to toss. If you don't toss your brain, it will rust. The degenerated passion will make you no longer have the desire to toss, and thus become a tossed situation. Art, in particular, needs to be tossed, and so do ideals. The significance of reality lies in continuous transcendence, and the significance of life lies in enjoying transcendence. Creation, as a medium, makes people closer to the truth. At least I think so.

The art of Chinese painting is a bright pearl both in the East and in the world. Both artists and audiences maintain a high enthusiasm for Chinese painting. Especially in modern times, there are many masters of traditional Chinese painting, whose works are constantly creating new myths in major auctions. Contemporary Chinese painters are also using their painting language to create colorful works of art. Chinese traditional art emphasizes inheritance and innovation. The latest works of 11 new and cutting-edge artists of Nanjing traditional Chinese painting will participate in this exhibition. On the basis of inheriting tradition, they explored the new possibilities of traditional Chinese painting. Through their deep grasp of traditional art, they provide us with a rare opportunity to appreciate; their paintings open a new window for the audience to appreciate the art of Chinese painting through the halo of color block, the rhythm of pen and the space of artistic conception. Their paintings, on the other hand, show the new creative inspiration of these artists under the perception of contemporary culture. "The very state", in English, is the title I finally chose for this exhibition. "Ten" or "very" are adjectives here. They have double meanings here. One is "real and complete"; the other is "special and extraordinary". This small-scale exhibition is a segment of the development of contemporary art in Nanjing. These six artists are indispensable in the wonderful drama of contemporary art in Nanjing. These works on display are not only the presentation of each artist's life state, but also an epitome of the important efforts made by Nanjing artists in the development of Chinese contemporary art. Such a state is "real" and "special".

As for the ecological problems of ink and wash in the contemporary era, it seems that thinking and discussion have been going on all these years. But with the weakening and retreat of farming society and its mapping to human nature, how can the interest and artistic conception of ink and wash rely on? Even say, how to continue? These problems still seem to exist as problems. I believe that there will be a group of people trying to solve this problem. For example, Wei Dong, after reading his works of several periods, especially his series of "timidity", "segmentation" and "calligraphy", felt an impulse to break away from tradition.
