Xue's courtyard
The courtyard was built in the middle of Qing Dynasty. It faces south from the north and has three entrances. It covers an area of 1011.60 square meters. The existing buildings along the central axis are: South house, hall, hall building and North building. The front courtyard is a bungalow, which is composed of Mountain Gate, east-west wing room, south room and hall; the middle courtyard is connected with the back courtyard through hall building, which is composed of East-West building and North building. The East and West buildings are the same in shape, with three rooms in width and a building area of 91.8 square meters. The north building has a pattern of three bright and five dark. There are exquisite stone carvings, wood carvings and color paintings in the compound.
Courtyard introduction
Xue's courtyard is a residential courtyard in Qing Dynasty. In 1995, the county government assigned it to the cultural relics department of the county. From the south to the north, it is composed of Mountain Gate, hall, hall and North building. The north and middle courtyard are two-story loft style brick and wood structure, while the South courtyard is one-story brick and wood structure. The whole courtyard is scattered, simple and elegant, with Jin culture style. The compound covers an area of more than 1000 square meters and a construction area of more than 700 square meters. In 1987, the people's Government of Quwo County announced that it was a county-level cultural relics protection unit. Since October 1996, it has invested more than 280000 yuan in the comprehensive maintenance of the compound. It was named "patriotism base" by the county Party committee and declared as a municipal cultural relics protection unit in 2002. In October 2019, it was approved as the eighth batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.
There are more than 3000 pieces of cultural relics in the collection, including more than 200 pieces of precious cultural relics above grade 3, which are divided into 13 categories, including stone tools, fossils, iron, pottery, porcelain, bronze, jade, wood, silver, calligraphy and painting. Su Ding, the Marquis of Jin Dynasty, elephant tooth fossils of Paleolithic age, ground stone tools of Neolithic age, green glazed pottery bottles, painted pottery pots and silvery white glazed pottery stoves of Han Dynasty, Jun Mi porcelain bowls of song and Yuan Dynasties, and painted porcelain drum stools of Qing Dynasty are among the best cultural relics in the collection.
