Jiaonan City Museum is a comprehensive geological museum. It spans more than 5000 years. In history, there are representative cultural relics in every era, especially in the pre Qin period. There are two exhibition rooms throughout the year. The first floor is the folk cultural relics exhibition room, which mainly displays the daily necessities of Jiaonan people since the Qing Dynasty; the second floor is the boutique exhibition room, which mainly displays the special cultural relics discovered and excavated in Jiaonan, including from the Neolithic Age to the Republic of China. In particular, Langya culture is full of unique regional color and maritime charm.

Jiaonan Museum, established on March 22, 1983, is a local comprehensive museum under Jiaonan Culture Bureau. It is a comprehensive museum of geography. Covering an area of 3000 square meters, the museum has more than 3000 cultural relics in stock, including more than 400 cultural relics of national level 3 or above, and receives more than 5000 visitors annually. It is a window of spiritual civilization and ideological education in Jiaonan.
Development history
Jiaonan has a long history, many historic sites and rich cultural relics. There are Langyatai and Qi Great Wall, 29 ancient cultural sites, 5 ancient tombs, 5 grotto temples, 2 ancient city sites, 8 ancient buildings, 10 stone carvings and 1 ancient animal fossil area. At present, there are 1500 cultural relics in the collection, including 5 first-class cultural relics and 38 second-class cultural relics. Many cultural relics are rare treasures. For example: the Neolithic "clam shaped sound device", unearthed in the Dragon Hill cultural site of the West Temple in taxiang Township, is rare in shape. It is like a clam shell. It is a refined black clay pottery. When it is shaking, it gives out a crisp, pleasant sound. It is an ancient musical instrument, and it was exhibited at the "92 China cultural relics exhibition". The "Langyatai tile" of the Qin Dynasty, unearthed from the top of Langyatai, is a pottery tile fired by the first emperor of Qin Dynasty when he built Langyatai, with four seal characters of "long live forever". "Jinggong sundun", a precious bronze ware in the late spring and Autumn period, was unearthed at the foot of the great wall of the Northern Qi Dynasty in Shanzhou village, Liuwang town. There are 15 characters of inscriptions in it, and the cover of it was collected by the bronze Museum of the Palace Museum in the early years. Gao fenghan's paper landscape axis is a masterpiece of Gao fenghan, the most famous left arm calligrapher and painter in Qing Dynasty. With a high level of painting art.

Jiaonan museum is located in the downtown of the most prosperous street in Jiaonan City. It is in the courtyard of the cultural center with reasonable layout and beautiful environment. The museum is a two-story building reconstructed from the original exhibition hall, covering an area of 4000 square meters and a building area of 1200 square meters, including 552 square meters of exhibition room and 100 square meters of warehouse.
