Qiandao Lake Triassic Fossil Museum
Qiandao Lake Triassic Fossil Museum is built in accordance with the relevant national laws and regulations such as the intangible cultural heritage law of the people's Republic of China, the regulations of the State Council on museums and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the protection of paleontological fossils. It is a museum of stone appreciation art combining natural sciences with humanities.
The exhibition hall covers an area of 2118 square meters and has more than 2000 collections. The museum's collection mainly includes ancient marine fossils, modeling stones, pattern stones, mineral crystals, jade and other ornamental stones. The fossil groups of crinoids, Guizhou dragons, ichthyosaurs, pterodontosaurus and phanerosaurus are recognized as precious, rare and precious fossils in the world. Unique in China, unique in the world.
As many as 1818 flowers have been awarded the certificate by Guinness headquarters of Shanghai world.
The museum has declared the titles of "China ornamental stone base", "national intangible cultural heritage exhibition base", "China Geological Museum branch" and "youth science popularization education base" to relevant departments. The exhibits in the museum are the salvage collections of Mr. Zhou Fenghua, a collector and entrepreneur of ornamental stones in Guizhou Province and vice president of the association of ornamental stones in Qianxinan Prefecture. Mr. Zhou devoted his whole life to the cause of ornamental stones, made outstanding contributions to the protection of China's paleontological stones, and was highly appreciated by the stone appreciation circles and the society.
The paleontological fossil museum is a base for carrying forward the art of stone appreciation, increasing the knowledge of geological science, and publicizing traditional culture. It will play a positive role in publicizing the protection of China's ornamental stone resources.
