It is said that Sun Simiao, a famous doctor of the Tang Dynasty, once visited Southern Shaanxi to treat people's diseases after he resigned. In order to choose good medicine, he climbed Tiantai Mountain. Seeing that the mountains and fields in the deep spring of the forest are covered with dense herbs, he excitedly turned it into a base for collecting herbs to help all living beings. Later generations built Tiantai temple to commemorate the king of medicine. According to the records of Hanzhong Prefecture, Tiantai temple was built in the 43rd year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty. The main hall is dedicated to Sun Simiao, so it is called Yaowang hall. The park is located in the North-South climate boundary, with a complete range of wild animals and plants. The forest coverage rate is 92.3%, and the annual average temperature is 10.1 ℃. In the scenic area, the mountains are precipitous, the valleys are crisscross, the springs and pools are densely covered, and there are many natural caves and Quaternary glacial relics. Zhangping Tiantai National Forest Park

Zhangping Tiantai National Forest Park, officially approved and named by the State Forestry Administration in December 2004, has a total area of 3987.4 hectares and is divided into four scenic spots: Tiantai Mountain, dahanxi, ziyundong mountain and Jiupengxi. The forest park is rich in plant resources and a wide variety of wild animal resources. There are more than 1300 species of plants belonging to 197 families. Shuangyang Town is the seat of guningyang county. It is a provincial famous historical and cultural town with many places of interest. Xiangliao village, Chishui Town, where Tiantai Mountain is located, is the hometown of Wang Jinghong, a navigator of Ming Dynasty. His feat has been included in the local textbooks of junior middle school by Fujian Provincial Education Commission. Ningyang river is also known as Jiupeng river. It is located in Nanyang Township, Zhangping City. From Shuangyang Town, there are boats. Mashan, ziyundong

Mashan is the watershed between Shaxi, a tributary of Minjiang River, and Ningyang River, the source of Jiulong River. Mashan scenic area is surrounded by mountains. The ancient trees on the mountain are gloomy, and the scenery is pleasant. Xu Xiake, a famous tourist of Ming Dynasty, once walked by and made a wonderful description in his travels. Ziyundong mountain, which is connected with Mashan mountain, is 1634 meters above sea level. The mountain is steep, with ancient trees and clouds surging. Zhangping Tiantai National Forest Park

Shuangyang Town is the seat of Ningyang ancient county. Ningyang County was built in the first year of Longqing of Ming Dynasty (1567 A.D.), and was abolished in August 1956. In 2002, Shuangyang Town was named as a provincial historical and cultural town. The ancient city is surrounded by clear water, beautiful scenery and numerous cultural relics.
