Black tiger Qiang Village
Maoxian is located in the northwest of the mountains, along the ninth Ring Road westbound 21 km, 7 km into the valley that is to turn. The village, known as "black cat village" in ancient times, was only a small tribe since the Han Dynasty. It lived by mountains and built a stone house for hunting. After the Tang Dynasty, agriculture and animal husbandry were developed simultaneously.
He had little contact with other ethnic groups and lived on the precipices. He often fought with the invaders and defeated the attacks of the ethnic groups many times. In the middle of Tang Dynasty, Tubo was often disturbed and built "qionglong" (stone Diaolou) with the chieftain as the center. In the Ming Dynasty, the ethnic strife became more and more serious, and watchtowers stood in the East and west of the river. Up to now, there are eleven Qiang blockhouses in Kaohsiung, which still maintain the momentum of resisting the enemy. In the Qing Dynasty, there was a highly respected "General Yang Si". He was the only hero who could lead the Qiang people in the "black cat village" to fight against the enemy bravely at that time. He was honored as "general black tiger" by later generations and was widely praised. The village was also renamed "Black Tiger Village". In recent years, heihuzhai has been favored by Chinese and foreign ethnic history researchers and many tourists for its simple ethnic customs and well preserved ancient buildings.
