Since then, Laodong Miao village has declined into poverty and gradually disappeared.

There are unique features here: families are connected, families are connected, and there is a huge unique military stone building "Majia house" of Miao nationality to fight against the banditry in Western Hunan.

It is full of Legends: it is the residence of Chen Quzhen, the "king of Xiangxi" who ruled Xiangxi for 30 years; it is the former residence of Ma Jiafu, the richest man of Miao nationality, who lived in the border area of FUJIA, the four provinces of FUJIA, and the former residence of Ma Zhi, the first general of Miao Nationality in the Republic of China.

The culture here is mysterious: there is the most primitive culture of Miao people, Liangcai (Miao Language); there are the most primitive, mysterious and fearless witchcraft culture in Western Hunan, such as "chasing corpses", "releasing poisonous insects", "descending immortals" and "repaying gods". The Miao people here are honest, warm and sincere, which is well-known to tourists.

A tour of folk customs

1、 Crossing Pinghu Lake: take Laodong bus 6 km from Fenghuang ancient city to Changtangang reservoir, and then take a cruise ship. Rural scene

As soon as I got out of the car, I saw a big empty space, which was full of golden corn and fiery red pepper. These two colors were combined, which was very beautiful. This is actually a local Miao primary school. I went in curiously to have a look. The school is in the summer vacation. The desks and chairs in the classroom have been piled up. Some agricultural equipment is placed in the empty space. There are two local children playing in the classroom. It's a very simple classroom where children of different ages have classes. There is a curriculum on the wall, and on the top of the blackboard there is a blurry "study hard, make progress every day". But children's eyes are so bright. I think they are also eager to know the outside world and what kind of scenery it will be like to walk out of this mountain. I sincerely wish these children a chance to see the outside world when they grow up.

There are Buffalo, pigs and ducks in the school. From here on, I arrived at Laodong Miao village! I heard the welcoming song of Miao girls from a distance. It is said that when you arrive at the Miao family, you have to accept three tests: one is singing, the other is drinking, and the third is playing flower drum. After a long discussion, many of us decided to sing a song of "56 nationalities, 56 flowers" together. The Miao girls sang a song they didn't understand, which was very nice. This is the first pass. The second level is drinking. Here is Miao rice wine. What a big bowl. Fortunately, it's not full. I tasted it, but it's sweet and delicious! The third level is simple. Miao people have rhythm and skill in playing flower drum. We won't. We'll just ring. It's so easy! Miao's younger sister happily opened the blue embroidery cloth that was blocking us. We are free to visit!

It's a real country tour. There are tall houses in Miao village, green tiles, yellow and white houses, golden corn and red pepper everywhere. It's a beautiful picture of the countryside. We walked along the narrow bluestone path to the houses. The Miao people here are very hospitable. We visited the weaving machines of handicrafts. They are still working and weaving beautiful cloth. Before the rampant banditry, this Miao village was very rich. We visited their Miaowang Ma's house. It's tall and towering. Compared with other houses, it not only has a parapet, but also the stones used in the building are very regular and the walls are very high. There are still traces of gunfire left by bandits when they entered the village. We can imagine how turbulent life people lived in that time of war and chaos.

Miao Wang's home used to be the richest man in the local area. When we entered the courtyard, corn and pepper were hanging on both sides of the high door. We pushed the door and entered. The display inside was also very shabby. When we went in, we could see from left to right. As soon as we entered, there was a hall, similar to our living room, where every family had a picture of Chairman Mao. The rooms of the house are from the main hall to the left. There are about three rooms. They are very spacious. A little baby is sitting in a small car. It's only a few months old and looks at us curiously. It's very lovely. I don't know how many generations of the king of Miao this year!

Silver dollar

This is where the legendary story of silver dollar crushing people to death happened! Miao family likes silver, not only flowers, but also silver jewelry. Therefore, every family has a collection of silver. It is said that at that time, their family had too much money and put it on the crossbeam of the house. Later, because the silver dollar was too heavy, the roof of the house collapsed and killed people. I don't know whether this story is true or not, but I can see the richness of Laodong Miao village at that time.

Miao beauty

A little girl with us happily put on the clothes of Miao A-Mei and took photos in the Miao village. We all call her a beauty. Here, we make clear the dress difference between Qingmiao and Baimiao. Just then, all of a sudden, several beautiful Miao girls came into our eyes, and we all said with one voice: beauty! beauty! This is the real beauty! All of them are slim and graceful, with peach blossom faces and full of Miao costumes. They laugh or talk with each other there, which makes people reluctant to blink.

We immediately went up like the stars, there was a girl carrying a small basket, holding a bullwhip, gently hit the cow, the old cow looks simple, many photographers with long guns and short guns, excitedly "click click" for a while, shouting: "really beautiful, really beautiful."
