Hongshanbao is named for its location in Hongshan area. According to historical records, in ancient times, under the sun's rays, the mountains here were bright red. Because they were named "Hongshan", they were falsely called "Hengshan", and "hongshanbao" was also called "hengshanbao" in the old days. It is a city barrier in the defense system of the Great Wall in the Ming Dynasty. It was built in 1503, the 16th year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty. It was built by Qin Dan Qin, the Minister of the Ministry of military affairs of Shaanxi Province. It has been more than 500 years. If every five people live in a barracks according to the Ming Dynasty military system, there may be more than 50 houses in Hongshan castle. In the northwest platform of the castle, you can also see a large number of broken bricks and building components piled up. This may be the house where the castle guard officials live. Before the destruction, it may be a high-grade grand building.
Transportation: get off from xiaolongtou of the Yellow River, walk along the Great Wall to Lingwu, pass Shuidonggou, and finally reach hongshanpu, about 20 kilometers away.
