The full name of "Meishan Dongpo Urban Wetland Park" is located in the downtown area of Meishan City. It is also referred to as "Meishan Wetland Park" because of its representativeness in the wetland parks of various counties and districts in Meishan City. The park is located in the northwest of Dongpo Island, facing the Yuanjing building, one of Meishan landmarks, across Dongpo lake, covering an area of 2502.7 mu. With the theme of "Dongpo water moon" culture, it is an urban wetland park integrating wetland conservation, scientific and cultural education, recreation and leisure functions. It is a key project of Meishan to build "green sea pearl, city of thousand lakes, Tianfu garden and cultural city". It is also the largest urban wetland park in Sichuan.

Dongpo Urban Wetland Park in Meishan city is located in the northwest of Dongpo Island, Meishan City (facing Meishan Yuanjing building across the lake). It is surrounded by Dongpo lake water and covers an area of 2502.7 mu. With the theme of "Dongpo water moon" culture, the park plans 32 recreational spots of three types: ecological, cultural and leisure. It is an urban wetland park integrating wetland conservation, scientific and cultural education, recreation and leisure functions. It is the most accessible Wetland Park in Meishan City and the core of ecological green city, laying a solid foundation for Dongpo island to become a tourism card of Meishan.

In March 2013, the regulatory detailed planning of Dongpo island was approved and implemented by the municipal government. The total construction land area of Dongpo island is 315 hectares (4725 mu), including 138.48 hectares (2077.2 mu) of park green space, accounting for 43.99% of the total construction land.

In October 2013, Dongpo Island Wetland Park completed the project approval and started construction, becoming one of the top ten livelihood projects in Meishan City

According to the national standard, the park was officially opened to the public on December 31, 2014. In August 2016, the regulatory plan of Dongpo island was optimized and adjusted, and 425.5 mu of commercial residential development land in the middle of Dongpo island was adjusted to park green space, which greatly reduced the scale of real estate development in Dongpo island. Among them, in order to better build the central landscape corridor of Dongpo Island, 115.4 mu of residential development land originally located in the central landscape corridor has been purchased and stored for expansion of Dongpo Urban Wetland Park. After adjustment, the park area will reach 2502.7 mu, accounting for 52.97% of the total construction land of Dongpo island.

In February 2018, the second phase of Dongpo Urban Wetland Park was basically completed and opened.

Dongpo Urban Wetland Park is based on "water" and "green", closely linked to the three key points of "Dongpo", "Moon" and "water", showing Dongpo culture everywhere. Taking water as the vein, it fully displays "moonlight is like water, sprinkled on the Wetland Park" in the spatial form, road is like belt, green beach, water reflecting Island, and performs the cultural theme of "Dongpo water moon" in spirit and form. Continue Su Dongpo's scientific water management concept, use the power of nature, integrate green water, blue water, rain water, gray water, reclaimed water, purified water and other ecological water systems, and plan rich ecological environment experience and ecological science popularization function of water green integration.

Facilities construction

The park is mainly built with municipal roads (634 meters long and 20 meters wide), main garden roads (3982 meters long and 6-10 meters wide), secondary garden roads (5448 meters long and 3-4 meters wide), small roads (3279 meters long and 0.8-2 meters wide) and 10 landscape bridges; trees and shrubs are planted in the park; landscape greening project is about 360000 square meters; water body is about 230000 square meters; square is about 37000 square meters; ground parking lot is about 15000 square meters; antique The building area is about 8200 m2, and the underground parking garage is about 21000 m2; supporting construction of water supply and drainage, electrical engineering, signs, sculptures, service facilities and other ancillary projects. The spatial structure of Dongpo Urban Wetland Park is planned as "one axis (Dongpo Shuiyue central cultural axis), two zones (lakeside walking and leisure zone, Shuiyue Kewen ecological zone), and five zones (wetland habitat zone, wetland Kewen zone, leisure activity zone, celebration activity zone and cultural activity zone)".

Among them, the wetland habitat is an ecological island in the Wetland Park, which mainly maintains habitat and animal habitat. It is located in the northwest corner of the wetland park. With the help of the natural radian of the turning position of Dongpo Lake waterway, it forms a moon shaped island, named xiaomingyue Island, which forms the pattern of island in island.

Located in the northeast of the Wetland Park, the wetland science park is surrounded by shuiyuetan wetland and xiaomingyue island on the opposite bank. It mainly focuses on wetland science exhibition tour and Dongpo art and culture tour. It is a slow-moving tour area in the whole wetland park. In terms of space, the wetland science and technology zone caters to the Moon Island on the other side, reflecting the design theme of "moonlight like water". It uses flowing space composition techniques to create a graceful curvilinear structure framework. All the functional sites and sightseeing trails are in one go, as if the moonlight like water is scattered on the marshland.

The leisure activity area is the area connecting with the wetland science and technology area. The outdoor beach and water playing area provide a place completely in contact with water, fully mobilize people's enthusiasm and hydrophilicity, open the lawn, and provide a variety of leisure activities.

The celebration area is located in the central and southern part of the Wetland Park, with the main entrance axis space as the core. It is composed of entrance square, sparse forest lawn, performing arts square, music and water dance fountain, etc., forming an open lawn area and waterfront area. The big water and big green and Yuanjing building are facing each other from afar, forming a mutual landscape.

The cultural activity area provides a rich place for cultural activities. The curvilinear waterfront can be used for jogging, walking, and rowing. Lawn outdoor stage can be used for various performing activities to improve the participation of the public in outdoor activities.

Dongpo Urban Wetland Park is planned to have 32 recreational spots of ecological, cultural and leisure types, and a green leisure corridor has been formed on the West Bank of the lake for sightseeing. On the east side is the Minjiang River, with surging water and flocks of geese and ducks; on the Bank of the river, there are green trees and swaying green bamboos; on the other side of the river, there are continuous mountains, steaming clouds, lush trees and attractive scenery. Surrounded by Minjiang River and Dongpo lake, it forms a beautiful moon shape, and Dongpo's cultural environment of inviting the moon makes it a bright moon to illuminate the whole Meishan City.

Sunken footpath of lunar Observatory

The submerged footpath of the lunar Observatory is the core display scenic spot of the lunar trestle. The circular gallery bridge in the shape of "full moon" connects the water and the water. Overlooking from the air is a full moon, and walking in the water is also a jade wheel. When the bright moon rises at night, it is reflected in the ring, which is more interesting for the real and the unreal. The air corridor bridge of the moon watching platform adopts the song style of Western Sichuan, reflecting the local architectural features of Meishan. Walking on it, you can overlook the whole moon watching platform and the landscape of xiaomingyue lake and Chanjuan Pavilion. The side of the submerged part of the footpath is made of arc-shaped compression resistant transparent acrylic plate, so that visitors can see the natural construction of the aquatic ecosystem in multiple directions and more intuitively.

Moon phase plank road

The moon phase plank road is an ecological wetland experience plank road in Dongpo Urban Wetland Park. It is one of the theme scenic spots of "Dongpo water moon". It takes the artistic conception of "moon phase change" and "moonlight is like water" and winds over the whole shuiyuetan wetland.

The rest on the plank road and the site, gallery, waterside pavilion and gallery bridge of the exhibition place form the interesting change of "crescent platform (crescent moon), crescent platform (upper crescent moon), moon watching platform (full moon), jade bow platform (lower crescent moon) and silver hook platform (waning moon)".

The plank road connects Yueya Beach (Lotus exhibition garden), Yueyi micro step (Original Ecological Water Trail), Yutu maze (Forest Wetland labyrinth), Chanjuan Pavilion, Dongpo Yongyue (Dongpo poetry and calligraphy art gallery), Huayue Beach (flower and plant tour) and other characteristic scenic spots to display wetland plants and wetland self purification ecosystem along the way.

Music water dance fountain

Opening hours: 30 minutes on weekends, national legal holidays (except Tomb Sweeping Day) and major activities in the city. Among them, it starts from 20:30-21:00 from May 1 to October 31, and it starts from 19:30-20:00 in other periods.

Music water dance fountain (Meishan music fountain) is the first water dance theater and the largest music fountain in Southwest China. The theme of the design is "water moon and rainbow clothes". Nishang, including the Chinese millennium etiquette, culture and character, with a gorgeous Chinese civilization, but also carries the fate of the Chinese nation, etiquette and the spirit of generations. Water dance is compared with nishang, which integrates the humanities, history and art of Meishan into the magnificent music and water dance, presenting the music and water dance landscape with unique Meishan cultural characteristics.

On November 15, 2015, three elements of highlight water curtain film, pneumatic water film performance and color laser system were added to the renovation of music fountain. Music, film, laser and water film were integrated to show the water curtain performance demonstrated by the fountain to the public.
