The 28 square kilometer Expo site of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo is the largest in the history of the Expo. After the Expo, most of the temporary pavilions have been demolished except for the permanent "one axis and four Pavilions".
One axis and four Pavilions refer to the Expo Axis, China Pavilion, Theme Pavilion, Expo Center and Expo Cultural Center of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. Among them, the Expo Axis is the central landscape axis of the Expo site, connecting with the main passageway of several other pavilions, and used to be the main entrance and exit of the Expo. The future is still the main axis of the space landscape and pedestrian flow of the Expo site.
As a permanent special Museum of the World Expo, the National Museum of China has been relocated to Shanghai Art Museum and renamed as China Art Palace. The China Regional Pavilion will serve as a venue for various exhibitions and activities.
The Expo Center will be transformed into a world-class Conference Center.
