Sanqia Garden

The whole niaoyuling has 11 scenic spots and thousands of rare birds, including Red Crowned Crane, Green Peacock, flamingo, Macaw, etc.

Qigui Pavilion

The amphibian complex is located in the south end of the zoo, with a total investment of nearly 6 million yuan and a total construction area of 3027.33 square meters. Its overall architectural appearance is dynamic, and the overall building is mainly European style. The amphibious museum is mainly for the breeding and exhibition of crocodiles and other amphibians and reptiles. The museum is decorated with tropical rainforest plants. The museum has complete functions and adapts to the survival of amphibians and reptiles with different habits. It gives people the feeling of simple and modern style. In the center of the museum is a large alligator pond, in which nearly 100 huge and precious alligators are kept. There is a plank road in the pond, which can be used for visitors to watch and feed the alligators. There are two pavilions around the alligator pond, including Chinese alligator, giant lizard, giant salamander, turtle, snake, tropical marine fish and subtropical rainforest plants. During the period, nearly 30 species and more than 300 amphibians were raised and exhibited, which can crawl and live in water. A variety of rare plants in the plant view of tropical rainforest add a strong southern flavor to the whole museum, and make it shine with amphibians living in the tropics and subtropics. Lingyu

Lingyu (Monkey Island), an ecological tourist area for lingzhang animals in Tianjin zoo, is located in the northeast corner of the zoo park, formerly known as "Deer Park". It was renovated in April 2000 and opened in May 1, 2001. The park covers an area of 20 mu. Surrounded by lakes, the park simulates the habitat of lingzhang animals. The mountain is magnificent with a peak of 9.6 meters. It is a monkey "kingdom" island with beautiful mountains and interesting scenery. Hundreds of macaques are kept in the park, and a variety of lingzhang animals are displayed. The monkeys live in six separate mountains, each dominating one side and coexisting peacefully. After being domesticated in our garden, they can live in harmony with tourists and have different interests. There are "Huaguo Mountain, shuilian cave" and all kinds of playing equipment in the park, which not only meet the natural needs of monkeys' lively nature, but also conform to their habitat requirements of returning to nature; it not only realizes the desire of tourists to live in harmony with animals, share nature and participate in wildlife protection, but also improves the level of wildlife protection.

"Lingyu" is another project to protect wild animals after the completion of "sanqia garden". It ends the way that primates have been kept in captivity for many years, and is the only one in the north of China, which is a new attempt.

Shihu Pavilion

Located in the northeast corner of Tianjin zoo, it is one of the most popular exhibition areas for visitors. Shihu mountain, which has been built for more than 30 years in 2007, has undergone a large-scale renovation. After two months of construction, it was completed in April of the same year and opened to tourists during the May Day period. The new Shihu Museum has also become the first cartoon all glass curtain wall Shihu exhibition hall in China, and officially renamed as "Shihu Museum".

The newly-built Shihu Pavilion pays more attention to the feeling and experience of visitors. Except the iron fence and visiting guardrail, the exhibition area is completely replaced by transparent glass, with a tolerance of 1300 kg per square meter. In order to match the overall cartoon style of the park, the main entrance of the new Shihu pavilion was transformed into a "big tiger head". In addition, in order to meet the desire of tourists and the "king of the forest" for close contact, the exhibition area of the museum is also built with a 4.5-meter-high bulletproof tempered glass wall, replacing the old gable wall. In the past, tourists can only bend down and look down from a distance, but can watch it at will.

Breeding

The animal star of Tianjin zoo, hippopotamus "Qier", has survived 12 births, which is unique in the country. Through the propaganda of the news media, it has a high social popularity and has become the landmark animal of Tianjin zoo.

In 2006, Japan's Kobe Prince zoo presented 20 squirrel monkeys to Tianjin zoo. After multiple cultivation by technicians, three female squirrel monkeys became pregnant and gave birth to three babies in November 2008. The length of squirrel monkey is 20 cm to 40 cm, and its weight is only 750 g to 1100 g. it is of great ornamental value and is a rare animal under international protection. After the successful reproduction of the squirrel monkey introduced from abroad by Tianjin zoo, three lovely babies gave the zoo the first "harmonious Taurus of all things"
