Longfeng temple in Nan'an County
It is located in Huangshan Village, Guanqiao Town, Nan'an county. Longfeng temple was built in the fourth year of Daye of Sui Dynasty (608). It is said that in the early Song Dynasty, the temple was expanded into three halls and two falls. There are bell towers and drum towers on both sides of the temple. In front of the temple, there is a eight trigrams lotus releasing pool. The scale is magnificent. There are hundreds of nuns living in the temple, which is called "Baigu nunnery". In the Yuan Dynasty, hundreds of nuns fled everywhere, and temples were plundered and burned. During the reign of emperor TAIDING of the Yuan Dynasty (1324-1328), they were rebuilt. After the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the former momentum was restored, but it was destroyed in the late Qing Dynasty and before liberation.
During the restoration of Longfeng temple in 2000, more than 40 relics of the early Southern Song Dynasty were found.
According to the relics, it can be preliminarily judged that the original scale of the temple is relatively large. It is estimated that the temple covers an area of nearly 4000 square meters and consists of three main halls, which is consistent with the local saying. A line of writing can be seen on a stone trough: "in the first month of the third year of Shaoxi (1192), Zi presided over the construction of the temple. It is analyzed that it was monks, not nuns, who built the temple at that time. Judging from the foundation left behind, the hall was composed of seven bays, covering an area of about 460 square meters. Some foundations were also found on both sides of the unearthed relics. According to the structure of the temple in Song Dynasty, it should be a residential area, which shows the scale of the temple.
