Bawanghai
The name bawanghai actually comes from the Gongbu glacier, which extends downward from the nearby snow mountain. Because the glacier is covered by thick clouds all year round, it is difficult to see its true appearance, so it is called Bawang glacier by local Tibetans. Due to the differences in understanding and communication between Tibetan and Han cultures, "Bawang glacier" became Bawang sea. It is located at the junction of Kangding and Shimian mountains in Western Sichuan, in a plateau gorge with an altitude of 3000-3200 meters.
Introduction to scenic spots
Bawanghai
The ethereal sea, the dreamy sea. The king of Shu mountain lies in the mountains surrounded by mountains, eroded by glaciers, protected by fir and pine, lush grass and light wind——
The hinterland of Gongga mountain. It is located at the junction of Kangding and Shimian mountains in Western Sichuan, in a plateau gorge with an altitude of 3000-3200 meters.
All the year round, clouds cover, smoke curl. All around, the snowy peaks are towering, the woods and grass are moist, and the people are almost cut off. The Tianwan River, which originated in Nanlu, Gongga, with the melting Plateau snow water under the main peak at an altitude of 7556 meters, has ups and downs all the way, and the shockwave reverses, continuously gathering the trickle of the surrounding dozens of peaks. It is hard to say how many years have passed before it has formed this dreamlike, ethereal and fairyland like plateau Haizi. For thousands of years, except for the local Tibetans' year-on-year pilgrimage to the mountains, few people have been there because of the blockade of the strange mountain roads, the crisscross river valleys, the mountains of pine and fir forests, Rhododendron forests, birch forests, sandy wattle forests, willow forests on the plateau, and miscellaneous forests, as well as the communication barriers and inconvenient transportation. Every time you turn the mountain once, it takes at least seven or eight days, or more than half a month, or even more than a month. Is worthy of the name of "raised in the boudoir who did not know.".
Bawanghai, a high mountain Haizi, is slender, beautiful, winding and quiet. Ona is elegant and quiet, lying in the green valley surrounded by mountains and forests. I don't know how many centuries I've been lying still! Although the morning sun is shrouded in layers of clouds and fog, the soft water of the lake is still changing with our walking steps. The colors are blue, dark green, cyan brown, yellowish and green, which are like a huge oil painting inlaid between heaven and earth. From time to time from the forest, path, Lake slowly floating milky white smoke, sometimes steaming cloud dream, sometimes crying. Shore Zhi Tinglan, green, fragrant grass, red leaves intoxicating. As if space has solidified, time no longer flows; the wind, stopped walking; clouds, hanging in the air. All sounds are quiet and autumn is full of water.
Name source
The name bawanghai actually comes from the Gongbu glacier, which extends downward from the nearby snow mountain. Because the glacier is covered by thick clouds all year round, it is difficult to see its true appearance, so it is called Bawang glacier by local Tibetans. It means that you have to look back eight times before you can see one side of it, which shows that it is unique and rare. Later cartographers mistakenly interpreted "Bawang" as Bawang, so the lake was named Bawang sea in today's landmark map or some brochures. I can't help sighing that due to the differences in understanding and communication between Tibetan and Chinese cultures, "Bawang glacier" has become Bawang sea. Although Haizi, glacier and Mountain Alliance remain the same, the unique expectation, yearning, pursuit and yearning scene contained in the original name no longer exists. What a pity!
