The former residence of dieyuan is located in dieshuihe village on the Bank of Daying River in the west of Tengchong County. It is the former residence of Li Gengen, a veteran of the Kuomintang and a famous patriot, in Tengchong. It was built in 1946 and completed in 1947. It is a civil structure courtyard building.

Li Gengen (1879-1965), whose name is Yinquan, Yangxi and Xuesheng, was born in Gaoligongshan, Yunnan Province. He studied in Japan in 1904, joined the alliance in 1905, and returned to China in 1909. He served as the supervisor of the Military Academy of Yunnan army and was promoted to the general office. He died in Beijing on July 6, 1965.

In memory of Mr. Li Gengen, the people's Government of Tengchong County announced the "dieyuan" as a key cultural relics protection unit and allocated special funds for maintenance,
New gate, exhibition room, stele gallery and other buildings. The renovated and expanded "dieyuan" has rich connotation, magnificent momentum, luxuriant grass and quiet environment. On June 6, 1998, it opened to the public and received tourists at home and abroad. The exhibition room displays Mr. Li Gengen's photos, works and some manuscripts, letters and relics in various historical periods. The corridor of the stele is inlaid with the ink of Mr. Li Gengen, his teachers and friends, and some famous people at home and abroad. There are dozens of square stone inscriptions. There are all kinds of regular script, seal script and official script.
