Brief introduction to temples
It is said that the building of Guangyun Burmese temple was built in 1828 when the Wang government mediated the internal strife of Gengma chieftain and conferred the title of Han Ronggao as chieftain. It is more than 170 years ago.
The architectural style is more influenced by the architectural style of the Han nationality. It retains the basic form of the Buddhist temple in the upper part of the southern spread. It is an organic combination of the Han architectural shape and the interior decoration of the Dai courtyard. It is unique in the architectural art style.
Cultural relics protection
Due to its important position in history, region, humanities and religion, Guangyun temple was announced as the third batch of national key protected cultural relics by the State Council on January 13, 1988.
internal structure
The main hall and two gates of guangyunmian temple are extant. The main hall has a vertical layout, with a width of 14.8 meters and a depth of 24.4 meters. It is a wooden structure with a bucket. It is made up of a gallery style hall and a double eaves Pavilion.
The pavilion is located in front of the hall, forming a hall. Two wooden dragons are hung upside down in front of the gate. The pavilion is made of double eaves, resting on the top of the mountain, and is decorated with Dougong under the eaves, which belongs to the form of Qing Dynasty. The elevation of the first floor of the pavilion is basically equal to the first eaves of the back hall; the second eaves is equal to the second eaves of the back hall, and two false eaves are added at the corner, resulting in a five eaves structure on both sides of the pavilion.
It is an organic combination of Han architectural features and Dai Temple. In addition to the two dragons in front of the gate, the wooden carvings of guangyunmian temple are exquisitely carved.
Temple Decoration
Ten murals are painted on the inner wall of the hall. Most of the murals are painted with ink outline and then colored. The style and technique are similar to those of Ming and Qing Dynasty works in the mainland. Six of them are larger on both sides, each of which is 3 meters wide and 2.1 meters high. There are four windows embedded in it, so the picture is concave. Near the two sides of the Buddha platform, the four pieces are smaller, about 1.3 meters wide and 1.2-2.1 meters high. There are two stories about Buddhism.
Most of the buildings in the painting are of the Han architectural style with double eaves on the top of Xieshan mountain, while the figures are officials, ladies, soldiers, attendants, etc., which belong to different nationalities from the perspective of clothing. Among them, warriors wear crowns, horseshoe mouth and narrow sleeve top, which is a typical dress of Qing Dynasty.
