Han Tombs in Zaoyuan
The Han Tombs in Zaoyuan are the tombs of the Han Dynasty. The brick chamber with a top is square in plane. It is 4.56 meters long from east to west, 2.25 meters wide from north to South and 2.1 meters high. It is composed of a main chamber and an ear chamber. The main room is full of murals, which are divided into two parts: the sky and the world. The scene of the sky is painted on the top of the ticket, with the images of green dragon, white tiger, Xuanwu and other animals, among which there are more than 100 stars. The top of the ticket is also painted with other patterns such as day, month and so on.
In the Han Dynasty tomb area south of Zaoyuan village, Zhangdian Town, Pinglu County, Shanxi Provincial Commission for cultural administration excavated a brick chamber tomb. The murals in the tomb caused a great sensation in the domestic historiography circles. In this regard, "Encyclopedia of china archaeology volume" made a detailed description.
summary
Although the scale of the tomb is not large, the cattle ploughing and columbine sowing depicted in the tomb truly depict the scene of agricultural production in the early Eastern Han Dynasty, with a strong flavor of life. It is the earliest painting of agricultural production in China. This provides important information for the study of agricultural development and manor economy of powerful landlords at that time.
The Han Tombs in Zaoyuan are the key cultural relics protection units of the province.
mural
The sun is in the East, and ink is painted on it. The moon is in the west, and the toad is painted on it. The white crane with long neck and short tail flies in the clouds.
The images of the human world are painted on the four walls of the main chamber of the tomb, including landscapes, houses, chariots and horses, and figures. There is a four wheeled car in the west of the south wall, with one person in front of the car and one person on the left. On the left, a man was naked and barefoot. He turned to look after the car and danced with long silk. On the west wall is a house. In front of the house, there is a farmer with bare feet and short clothes. He helps the plow with his right hand and raises his whip with his left hand to drive two black cows to plough the land. The plowshare is exposed. Behind the farmer stood a man, wearing a long black dress and standing with his sleeves as a watchman. There are two groups of paintings on the north wall: on the east side, there are high mountains and quadrangle buildings, which are regarded as the stronghold of the landlord; on the west side, there are two cars near the river, with one person sitting on the car and driving with a whip. Down the car with awning, double yuan to the ground, the emperor holding cattle rein squatting on the river, as if to rest. To the West there was a farmer who drove a scalper and sowed with a columbine truck. There were three legs under the columbine.
Columbine car was invented by Zhao Guo during the reign of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty after summing up the production experience of working people, which played an important role in promoting agricultural production at that time. From the perspective of "cattle ploughing" of murals, not only is it found earlier than in Jiangsu, Suining, Shaanxi, Mizhi, Inner Mongolia and Helingeer, but also advanced in operational technology; and from the shape of cattle ploughing map painted in the murals of jujube garden tomb, only 1 people are swinging the shape of the cattle plow, which has surpassed the "two ox bars" and "two ploughed three cows" painted elsewhere.
