The origin of naming
On the eve of Hong Kong's return to China, the team designate of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government originally intended to change the name of the governor's office to the special capital. However, because the first chief executive of Hong Kong, Tung Chee Hwa, did not move in, there were problems in the previous naming. At first, the government called it "the former governor's office". After discussion by experts, it was suggested that the building should be renamed "Zilu", which means the building is dark purple brown
