Leiwuqi county belongs to Changdu city of Tibet Autonomous Region. Historical evolution
In the Tang Dynasty, it was a territory of Tubo.
In 1274, after the Yuan dynasty ruled Tibet, it was under the jurisdiction of the Marshal's office of the Tibet Xuanwei envoys.
In the Ming Dynasty, the abbot of leiwuqi temple was appointed as the national teacher to manage the place.
In the Qing Dynasty, Enda county was set up.
In 1726, the fourth year of Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, the Wuqi sect was established.
In 1918, the gaxia government directly dispatched "Lani" and a "Dai Ben" army to form a political power organization dominated by the Gaju faction and integrating politics and religion.
In 1950, the former leiwuqi sect governed the six "Benbu" areas, and the people in the area were directly under the control of the three zacangs in leiwuqi.
In 1959, the regions of "Gama gorodana" and "Modong lengqu linben" in the six banners were assigned to Changdu county.

In 1962, new Basha district was built.
In 1964, Mali district was put under the jurisdiction of Luolong county.
In 1972, the county government moved to sangduo district and built a new Lei Wuqi District in the same year.
In November 2014, Changdu was set up as a city, and leiwuqi county was under the jurisdiction of Changdu city.
