Tangxia overseas Chinese History Museum

Tangxia overseas Chinese history museum is located in xinju village, Tangxia Town, Ruian City. As early as 1905, some overseas Chinese emigrated overseas. At present, there are 16024 overseas Chinese living in five continents of the world. For more than one hundred years, the overseas Chinese of the town have made great contributions to the economic, cultural and social prosperity of the overseas countries with their diligence and wisdom. They are always attached to their motherland and care for and support the construction and development of their hometown. In order to create a learning base for the broad masses of the people, especially young people, introduce the touching deeds of overseas Chinese and Chinese who love the motherland and hometown construction, further stimulate people's patriotic enthusiasm, and better serve the ideological and moral construction of our city. Since its opening in July 2006, the museum has received more than 10000 visitors.

In April 2008, the Publicity Department of the municipal Party committee inspected and accepted Tangxia overseas Chinese history exhibition hall. It is believed that the exhibition room has vivid deeds and distinct themes, which meets the "seven ones" requirements of the patriotic education base. Therefore, our ministry decided to name Tangxia overseas Chinese history exhibition hall as Ruian patriotic education base. It is hoped that the museum will further standardize the management, improve the mechanism, give full play to the role of patriotic education base, and make positive contributions to the patriotic education of our city.
