historical origin
In 1958, Yingkou Institute of technology, Yingkou Medical College and Yingkou seawater chemical industry college were established one after another. After several twists and turns, all three institutions of higher learning stopped running in 1963.
In 1978, Yingkou Branch of Liaoning Normal University began to recruit students in Yingkou normal school. Since then, Yingkou Institute of education, Yingkou staff University and other adult colleges have been established.
From 1983 to 1984, Yingkou Teachers College, Yingkou University and Xiongyue agricultural college were established one after another, and began to hold general higher education.
In more than 20 years after the reform and opening up, Yingkou's colleges and universities have been adjusted many times. By 2000, there are only two colleges and universities located in Yingkou area, Liaoning Agricultural Vocational and Technical College (provincial general college) and Yingkou vocational and Technical College (municipal general college).
In 2003, Yingkou asked the provincial government and the Ministry of education to merge Liaoning Agricultural Vocational and technical college with Yingkou vocational and technical college and upgrade it to Liaoning Institute of technology. However, due to the policy restriction of the Ministry of education that "no longer accept the approval of upgrading secondary vocational colleges to higher vocational colleges, no longer accept the approval of upgrading higher vocational colleges to undergraduate colleges", Liaoning Institute of technology has not been approved.
Preparing to build the school
In May 2008, the main leaders of Yingkou municipal Party committee and government made a special trip to the provincial government to report to the governor and the main leaders of the Department of education, asking the provincial government to help Yingkou build an undergraduate university. According to the governor's instructions, Yingkou should build its undergraduate university with high standards and speed up the construction process. Since then, Yingkou municipal government has drafted the basic plan for the construction of higher undergraduate education in Yingkou City and the implementation plan for the construction of Yingkou University Park.
In January 2009, the Liaoning provincial government held a meeting on the preparation for the construction of Yingkou University Park, and approved the "implementation plan for the construction of Yingkou University Park" in principle. It decided to set up Yingkou University Park, with the Northeast University of Finance and economics, Liaoning University of science and technology, Liaoning University of petroleum and chemical technology to set up a teaching District in Yingkou University Park to support the undergraduate education in Yingkou, and lay the foundation for the construction of independent undergraduate colleges in Yingkou In September, Yingkou University Park opened smoothly.
The history of the school
In January 2012, Yingkou municipal government submitted an application to Liaoning provincial government for the establishment of Yingkou Institute of technology. On August 20, the letter of the people's Government of Liaoning Province on applying for the establishment of Yingkou Institute of Technology (liaozheng [2012] No. 209) was submitted to the Ministry of education.
In January 2013, the second meeting of the sixth session of the National College establishment Appraisal Committee deliberated and approved the application for the establishment of Yingkou Institute of technology. On April 18, the Ministry of education's letter on Approving the establishment of Yingkou Institute of Technology (JFH [2013] No. 37) agreed to establish Yingkou Institute of technology, with the first batch of undergraduate majors in mechanical design and manufacturing and automation, automation, chemical engineering and technology, inorganic non-metallic materials engineering, and material flow management.
On August 3, 2013, Yingkou Institute of technology completed the enrollment plan of 600 students majoring in mechanical design and manufacturing and automation, inorganic non-metallic materials engineering, automation, chemical engineering and technology, and logistics management. The average score of the admitted candidates was 21.1 points higher than that of the second batch of undergraduate control lines, and the average number of the first voluntary candidates accounted for 76.1%. On September 6, 2013, 591 freshmen from Liaoning, Hebei, Shanxi, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Sichuan and Inner Mongolia came to the school to report, with a registration rate of 99%. The established goal of "high registration rate and excellent quality of students" was initially realized, and the first battle of the initial construction was successfully fought.
