summary
The Wangjing building started construction in the winter of 1591, the 19th year of Wanli. The Luwang mansion recruited thousands of skilled workers from more than ten counties to construct it for two consecutive years. It was completed in the autumn of the 21st year. The building materials and stones are all from Taihang Mountain. Five hundred years ago, in the era of no lifting machinery and equipment, in order to transport the heavy stones to the height of tens of meters, the industrious and intelligent people used the method of "earth enclosure as a tire" to surround and store the building objects, and used the stupid method of raising the slope to pull the stones up to the roof one by one. Just imagine how heavy and hard the construction is!
According to the relevant books, Wangjing tower was originally built by King Ru and is the remains of Wei Hui, the vassal of King Ru.
Wangjinglou contains rich historical and cultural connotations. Many Wangjinglou have been buried in the long river of history from ancient times to the present, leaving only ruins and sad legends. Today, "Wangjing tower" no longer has the historical burden and fetters. We only hope that when we visit the ancient or modern "Wangjing tower", we will see bluer sky and more beautiful scenery.
There are many legends about Weihui Wangjing tower.
There is a local relic called Wangjing tower in our country.
scale

It is divided into two layers, the outer wall is built with green stone, the inner wall is built with white stone, and the middle of the outer wall has white stone eaves. There are four windows on the East, West and north sides of the first floor, which are the top of the ticket. The remains of the blue stone lattice are still there. In the East and southwest corner, there are two stone gates with bluestone frames. You can climb to the first floor by two bluestone steps. On the first floor, the East, West, South and North connected circular arch holes intersect to the center, forming a cross top. Standing in the center of the square landscape, tall and spacious, can accommodate hundreds of people together. In summer, the breeze is penetrating and cool, which makes people very comfortable. Each ticket door has two wooden railings and a stone railings (50 cm) groove. There are four doors in Beiquan, all of which are bluestone frames. It not only has a unique shape, but also has the largest preserved scale in China. It has a typical official architectural style and is extremely rare in the Ming Dynasty.
The second floor of the original five intermittent mountain style hall, called "Chongben bookstore", is the palace where Lu Wang and his son collected books and learned calligraphy and painting. Unfortunately, in the early years of the Qing Dynasty, it was demolished by the Qing soldiers, and the foundation of the main hall still exists. Still standing in front of the hall, the "sincerity square" composed of bluestones still shows its former prestige. There are corridors in front, left and right of the hall, and two small doors behind it.

Spacious and bright, very spectacular, the top is arched, this arched dome is very strong. It fully reflects the wisdom of ancient Chinese laborers. Zhu Changfu, the king of Xiaolu, once played the piano and studied here.
Folklore
Do you know how Wangjing building was built? Things have to start from the Ming Lu king.
King Lu was the younger brother of Emperor Wanli of Ming Dynasty. He bullied men and women in the court and was demoted to Weihui house. Once, King Lu went to the outskirts of Weihui to hunt and ran all morning. He was so hungry that he lay on the ground and didn't want to move any more. He said that he was ill. His entourage, from a nearby stall, took a new year cake for him. As soon as Lu Wang ate, he got well. This new year cake is very good. Back in the house, Lu Wang thought, I have to give this delicious new year cake to my mother. When his idea was settled, he asked his subordinates to write a notice, saying that each household would pay ten boats of New Year cake within three days. So King Lu sent a special envoy to transport the rice cakes from the ancient city of Weihui to Beijing by water through Tianjin. It was spring. It was nearly may when the rice cakes were transported from Weihui to Beijing. Lu Wang's mother looked at it and cried out that my son's life in Weihui was really hard. What he ate was all stinking things. She quickly opened the Treasury, carried out the gold and silver treasures, and loaded ten boats full of them to Weihui. After Lu Wang got the silver, his mother was even more anxious. He wanted to build a very high building, where Weihui could see Beijing. This is the Wangjing tower that we can still see today.
Three beggars talking about scenery
Legend has it that there are three beggars in Jixian (Weihui), Huaxian and Junxian who stay in a small shop at night and have no money to buy a shop, so they rent a quilt, a hard mat and a pillow. I can't lie down after sleeping for three nights, either without a cover or a pillow. So the three people discussed the competition to see who won the competition, so the reasonable distribution should be based on the high. Huaxian beggars think about it. First of all, there is a tower in Huaxian County, which is about ten feet away from the sky. Jun County said in a hurry. "There is a mountain in xunxian County, three feet from the sky." Unexpectedly, the beggars in Ji county said: "there is a Wangjing tower in Ji County, which suddenly reaches the sky.". As a result, the beggars in Ji county were given a quilt, the beggars in Jun county were given a hard mat, and the beggars in Hua county were given a pillow to sleep all night.
