Reception hall
In Song Dynasty, it was named Xindian. The temple is located at the foot of the mountain, with an altitude of 2540 meters. In the early Ming Dynasty, it was rebuilt as Jieyin nunnery, or Chaoyang Pavilion. In 1660, Zhao Yihuang, a native of Shu, rebuilt it and rebuilt it during the reign of Kangxi. In 1916, it was destroyed by fire. After hearing the news, monk Shengqin returned to the mountain and immediately decided to restore the ancestral court. After three years of preparation, he led Tu Guojing and two orders of the public to start the construction in 1919. Because of the huge project, after several years of hard work, it was completed in 1926. After the completion of the reception hall, the hall is the most magnificent, with solemn Buddha statues and luxurious magic tools. Even the painted Arhats on the wall of the niche are all made by the master of bamboo Zen. After another fire in 1953, only one hall was restored, far less than in the past. The original site of the temple was used for the construction of suoxia station in 1982. It was restored 100 meters away from the original site in 1995 and completed in 1997. The Kaiguang Dharma meeting was held in the same year.

history
Jieyindian is one of the main temples in Mount Emei. It was built in the Song Dynasty and named Xindian. In the Ming Dynasty, it was expanded into a temple called jieyindian, also known as Chaoyang Pavilion. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the temple collapsed and the Buddha statues lay on the grass. During the reign of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty, an 80 year old man from Hebei went to the mountain and vowed not to eat for seven days. The old monk has been hungry for six days. He happened to meet Zhao Yihuang, a native of Sichuan, climbing the mountain. He was greatly moved and went back to Chengdu to persuade the governor Li Zhuo to donate money to repair the mountain, which was handled by monk wenda.
It was destroyed by fire in 1917, and now there is only one Luohan hall left. Later, monk Shengqin continued to expand and built three halls, becoming one of the main temples in the mountain. In the temple, there is a reception hall for Amitabha Buddha statue, a Mahavira hall for Sakyamuni statue, and on both sides for Kasyapa and Ananda
The architecture in the temple is a typical Qing Dynasty architecture. The reception hall is covered with ice and snow for a large part of the year. There are many evergreen pines and cypresses around the reception hall, which makes the whole hall more solemn and solemn. These evergreen trees all year round have the beauty of snow trees and silver flowers under the cover of ice and snow. Now the Emeishan Buddhist Association is working hard to restore the temple.
