Tomb of martyr Jin Guanzhen
Jin Guanzhen (1902-1930), also known as Jiaji and Yantou, joined the Socialist Youth League in 1925. The next year, he became a member of the Communist Party of China and the main member of Wenzhou independent branch. During the northern expedition, he was Secretary of the general headquarters of the East Route Army and Secretary of the party and League. In the autumn of 1927, he went to the Communist Party University of the Soviet Union for further study. In August 1929, he returned to China as a central inspector, Secretary of the special committee of southern Zhejiang, and political commissar of the third Red Army. He was arrested and died when he returned to Wenzhou on May 18, 1930.
Jin Guanzhen's tomb is located at the south foot of Yantou town.
The tomb was built in 1973 and rebuilt in 1985. The tomb faces south, 15.8 meters deep and 12.7 meters wide, covering an area of 200 square meters. On the north side of the piedmont of the tomb, there are 74 stone steps leading to the tomb. The tombstone, 7.55 meters high, stands in the middle behind the tomb. On the bluestone slab on the front of the original body, there are nine characters inscribed by former defense minister Zhang Aiping: "martyr Jin Guanzhen is immortal.". In 1984, it was listed as the second batch of cultural relics protection units in the county.
