brief introduction
Lalong means "under the will of God" in Tibetan. Built in Songzan dry cloth
In 1155, dusongqinba, the founder of the gama Kagyu sect, presided over the expansion and became a famous Taoist center of the gama Kagyu sect in luoza. In the middle of the 16th century, Bao zulachenwa, an eminent monk of the gama Gaju sect, repaired and expanded the temple, built a wall, and presided over the temple. Later, the temple was converted to Gelug school, but it still retained the inheritance of Kaju school.
There are five different reincarnation living Buddha systems in the temple, which are in charge of its educational affairs in the kingdom of Bhutan, Kangqu District of eastern Tibet, houzang and other places. The reincarnation of living Buddhas in monasteries is governed by the system of drawing lots from a Golden Vase, which has been put on record in the central government of the mainland and the gaxia government of Tibet.
Architectural structure
The main hall is three stories high, which is a typical Tibetan flat topped temple building. On the east side of the main hall is the Bhutanese Sutra hall, which was built by the king of bhutan in the 18th century. It is the place where Buddhists from budanyun study sutras and businessmen of the country worship Buddhism. On the west side of the main hall is the Guanyin hall, and on the back are the Sutra debate hall, Dharma protection hall, shrine and monk's house.
purpose
Every year, Bhutanese monks come to Lalong temple to worship Buddha. In 1998, it was listed as a county-level cultural relics protection unit. Approved by the State Council in 2013, it was announced as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
