Hulchagannur
Chagannur, which means "White Lake" in Mongolian, is located 15 kilometers southwest of the location of Chagannur Sumu in Abaga banner, at the junction of grassland and sand, and on the west side of national highway 207. It is one of the four major freshwater lakes in Inner Mongolia. The lake is divided into two sub lakes: the East Lake is a fresh water lake with an area of about 22 square kilometers, which is the fishery production base of Abaga banner; the West Lake is a salt water lake with an area of about 90 square kilometers, which has dried up due to the artificial closure of the East Lake supply, and has become a saline alkali beach. Chagannaoer East Lake is an important tourist attraction in Xilinhot, with rippling green waves, lush water and grass, flocks of migratory birds and big and fat fish.
Region introduction
Huhe Chagannur is one of the four major freshwater lakes in Inner Mongolia, and also the largest and most famous freshwater fish Lake in Xilin Gol League. In summer, chagannaoer lake is like a jade belt, sandwiched between the broad green grass and the blue sky. From a distance, it looks like a silver string, trembling in the air.
Forming a legend
It is said that a long time ago, there was a camel on the ancient desert. Its nose curium was made of silver. The spring kept pouring out from the nose curium. A huge Naoer (Mongolian, meaning Lake) surrounded the wild camel. The wild camel got up and walked, and Naoer also moved with it. Later, the camel came to the present Chagannur, and when he lay down, he would not get up again. As a result, the spring gushing from his nose covered him, forming the present Chagannur.
It is said that the water source of Chagannur is in Orenburg, more than 40 kilometers to the east of Chagannur. A long time ago, one summer, a dragon was making waves in Naoer, a city there, all day and all night. The next day, people were surprised to find that the original Naoer had disappeared. Later, it was found that it was not happy and lay quietly in its present position. It is always a mystery what causes the water to move to a higher position. Later, due to climate change and the decrease of precipitation, the water flowing into the lake could not make up for the evaporation of the lake water. The water level decreased year by year, and the island was connected with both banks, forming a natural dam. Later, people dug a small river on the dam and built a sluice on the river to control the water level of the small lake. The original Chagannur lake was a slightly salty lake, but now the lake has become fresh water because of the water flowing into it from the gaogustai river. Due to evaporation and water level drop, the lake has become a salt lake, and fish and aquatic plants can no longer survive. When a small lake becomes a fresh water lake, aquatic organisms grow rapidly. Fish have crucian carp, silver carp, taste very delicious.
There is also a legend about Chagannur: Chagannur has two adjacent lakes, the small one in the East is freshwater lake, and the big one in the west is saline lake. What's more strange is that Chagannur will make a loud noise, especially in the dead of night in winter. The big Nur in the West will make a loud noise of "rumble" or "Gala, Gala". The villagers say that there are monsters in Nur. Some people say that it's the cracking sound of lake ice, because it's very cold here in winter, and the lake ice can freeze more than one meter deep! But in summer, the western big Nur will also make a "rumbling" sound. What's the matter? It's always a mystery.
changes
Chagannur was a whole before the 1950s. Now the natural dam separating the two lakes was an island at that time. The island was overgrown with weeds and lush reeds. It was a place for migrant birds to breed. In April and may every year, countless swans, geese, ducks and cranes gather on the island to lay eggs and raise their young, becoming a paradise for migratory birds. According to people familiar with the matter, there were more than 100000 migratory birds breeding on the island at that time. Once someone waded to the island to pick up goose eggs, which could only be pulled away by chariots and horses.
