Communication University of China China) is a multi-disciplinary national key university directly under the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, which focuses on electronic information and develops in a coordinated way in culture, industry, arts, management, economics, law and science. The predecessor of the school was the technical training class of the Broadcasting Bureau of the CPC Central Committee in 1954. In April 1959, with the approval of the State Council, the University was upgraded to Beijing Broadcasting University. It was renamed Communication University of China in August 2004.

The university has 4 research institutes, 7 first-class discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 18 first-class discipline master degree authorization points, 6 professional master degree categories, and 6 post doctoral mobile stations.

Due to the unique characteristics of media majors, that is, the combination of theory, art, practice and system is very close. In the face of the challenges brought by the development of the times, the school actively carries out extensive and in-depth research and exploration to seek a new mode of cultivating talents needed by the times.

Under the background of this era, after a serious summary of more than 50 years of school running experience, combined with the actual situation of the school's own education and teaching resources, according to the overall development strategic planning of the school and the requirements of strengthening the cultivation of students' practical ability. The aim of the TV station of Communication University of China is to serve teaching, students, media and society. It is not only for students to see, but also for students to practice by themselves. The TV station has an office, chief editor's office, news department, program department, R & D department and technology department. It has a strong news gathering and editing, program production, product R & D, technology development and support and management team. At present, there are nearly 900 members of the student press corps, covering graduate and undergraduate students of various majors in the University. There are 16 practical teaching courses, 15 self-organized programs and 6 hours of broadcasting from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. every day.
