brief introduction
Taian bridge, commonly known as hejiaqiao, is located in the ancient town of Zhujiajiao in Shanghai. It was built in the 12th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1584). It is a single arch stone bridge and is located in front of the Yuanjin temple at the mouth of Caogang river. High and steep, it is the steepest stone arch bridge in the town. Two flagpoles and stones are erected on the bridge, which are used for hanging street lamps. It is a navigation mark for ships. The "flying cloud stone" relief on the blue stone handrails on both sides of the bridge is simple and honest. The materials used for the construction of Tai'an bridge are blue stone, and the relief "flying cloud stone" carved on the bridge railing is similar to the work of Yuan Dynasty. Yuanjin temple in front of the bridge was also built in Yuan Dynasty. Therefore, bridge experts have different views on the history of the bridge.

A famous poet in Qing Dynasty once wrote a poem: "the sunset is burning, the pond is in the light moon; when I walk in the city, the fishing flute is in the east of the stream, the Pu fan is swaying in the summer, and the banana shirt is short by the wind; when I walk alone in the evening, the ancient temple is connected by a bridge.". The poem describes the sunset at dusk, fishing songs singing late, after a day of heat, people gently shake the fan, step on the bridge, enjoy the evening Qingluo. It's really a vivid picture of the ancient summer. It is written here that "an ancient temple is connected by a bridge", "an ancient temple" is the Yuanlu temple, and "a bridge" is the Tai'an bridge.
