Zhougong Temple
Zhougong temple is located in Huiguan village, Xiaozhan Town, Jinnan District, Tianjin. It was built in 1890 in memory of the brothers Zhou Shengchuan and Zhou Shengbo. Zhougong temple covers an area of 14000 square meters.

Biography of Zhou Sheng
Zhou Shengzhuan (1833-1885) was born in zhoujiaweizi, Hefei, Anhui Province.
In the early years of Qing Dynasty, Li Hongzhang's subordinates paid homage to the posts of commander-in-chief and commander-in-chief.
In the first year of Guangxu (1875), he served as the garrison officer of Jingu and the chief soldier of Tianjin town. He led his troops to Xiaozhan town to train troops, garrison farmland, build roads, excavate machangjian River, divert water from the south canal (i.e. Yuhe River) to cultivate wasteland and rice. With the introduction of new species and the increase of population, Xinnong town (Xiaozhan town) was established.
Guangxu ten years (1884) back home, the next year died.
The posthumous title of the Qing Dynasty was "Wu Zhuang Gong", which was dedicated to the temple.
Zhou Shengbo
Zhou Shengbo? ——He was born in zhoujiaweizi, Hefei, Anhui Province, and the elder brother of zhoushengchuan. In his early years, he and his younger brother Zhou Shengchuan organized Laosheng army together. Later, he left the army and returned to his hometown to serve his mother.
In 1884, he recruited 5000 Huaijun soldiers to go to the small station for defense training. After his brother died of illness, he took over his official post, continued to cultivate training affairs, cultivated rice fields and expanded Xinnong town.
Guangxu 14 years (1888) died of illness, the Qing Dynasty posthumous title "Gang min Gong", granted to build a special temple.
Brothers Zhou Shengchuan and Zhou Shengbo are the planters of Xiaozhan rice, the founders of Xiaozhan town and the pioneers of Jinnan water conservancy.
Brief introduction of the site
Zhougong temple covers an area of 14000 square meters. In the south of Zhougong temple, there is a theater building and the main gate. In the north, there are three main halls on the platform, namely the middle hall, the East Hall and the West Hall. The "Xinnong Temple" in the middle hall is dedicated to Emperor Yan, Shennong, Xiayu and Guandi.
It is dedicated to Yan Emperor, Shennong's because of pioneering and planting rice; it is dedicated to Xia Yu because of opening the river to divert water; it is dedicated to Guan emperor because it is a martial saint.
East Hall "Zhou Wuzhuang ancestral hall", dedicated to Zhou Shengchuan.
Zhou gangmin's ancestral hall in the West Hall is dedicated to Zhou Shengbo.
Historically, on March 28 and July 28 of the lunar calendar, people in Xiaozhan area held temple fairs in Zhougong ancestral temple before planting and harvesting rice in Xiaozhan area. Gongs and operas were held. Business and tourism gathered and trade was active.
During the "Cultural Revolution", due to disrepair and man-made destruction, the walls of Zhougong Temple collapsed, and the East and west side halls and theatrical buildings were demolished. In 1986, the state invested in the restoration of the main hall and the wall.
In 1994, on the occasion of commemorating the 120th anniversary of the establishment of Xiaozhan Town, the statue was rebuilt.
Zhougong temple is a famous site in the dictionary of China's famous places of interest.
