Historical Retrospection
Tang Da Ci'en Temple is a new temple built in 648 ad (the 22nd year of Tang Zhenguan) by Prince Li Zhi (Emperor Gaozong of Tang Dynasty) in memory of his mother, empress Wende, at the former site of jingjuegulan in the south of the imperial palace city. It covers an area of 342 mu, which is seven times the area of the existing temple. After the construction of the temple, the whole project is extremely magnificent. Taizong of Tang Dynasty gave the new temple the name of "dacien Temple". At that time, dacien temple was the largest temple in the Tang Dynasty. When the temple was newly built, Xuanzang, an eminent monk in the Tang Dynasty, was appointed by the court to preside over it for the first time. He personally supervised the construction of the Dayan Pagoda in the temple and translated Buddhist Scriptures for more than ten years. He took charge of the Buddhist scripture translation field and founded a Buddhist sect.
Since the founding of the temple, dacien temple has been destroyed and rebuilt many times in the war. Only the Dayan Pagoda has been preserved completely. The existing temple is only the West pagoda at that time. In 1988, Japan's chuanqiao city became a friendly city with Xi'an, and invested in the construction of "Chunxiao garden" on the original site of Tang Da Ci'en Temple; in 2007, it was renamed "Tang Da Ci'en Temple Site Park".
summary
The predecessor of the park is Chunxiao garden in Qujiang. After the Qujiang Management Committee re positioned and reconstructed the art, it was renamed the Tang Da Ci'en Temple Ruins Park, which is famous for its location on the Tang Dynasty Ci'en Temple Hall ruins.
As the theme garden of Buddhist culture, the park conveys the atmosphere of "Zen enlightenment", a unique religious experience in China, to the public everywhere, so as to achieve the purpose of "harmony with heaven, which is called Tianle".
While pursuing the ultimate aesthetic feeling, the whole park expresses the designer's yearning for the inner Zen realm through various ways such as statues, sculptures, vegetation and so on. It has exquisite and elegant style and profound cultural atmosphere. It is detached, leisurely, reclusive, ethereal interest, but the most natural performance of the reclusive personality spirit of another bearing. The combination of reclusive culture and Buddhist culture makes the garden from the hustle and bustle of the city to the tranquility of the mountains. It pays more attention to the natural beauty, humanistic beauty and spiritual beauty to the pursuit of indifferent life, and presents a deep meditation and leisurely mood.
The design and construction of the park deeply embodies the idea of "harmony between man and nature" in Chinese traditional culture, and specifically embodies four characteristics
1. Construct the landscape and learn from nature.
2. Landscape and Zen space
3. Wild tea court, elegant Pavilion
4. Moving the sky and shrinking the earth
