Lotus rock

Lianhua rock is located in a stone mountain near baishandi village, 6 km northeast of Xingping Town, Yangshuo County, Guilin city. It is named after more than 100 lotus leaf like Panshi in the rock. The length of the cave is 481 meters, the widest part is 25 meters, and the highest part is 38 meters.

There are stalactites, stone pillars and stone mantles all over the rock, and the scenery is unique and spectacular. At present, there are more than ten named main scenic spots, such as "the wonder of lotus pond", "Double Dragons coming out of the cave", "immortal lotus hanging upside down" and so on, some of which have not yet been named. Before the 1960s, the rock was little known. The local people called it "creeping rock", because the entrance of the rock was too small to crawl into.

Lianhuayan rock body is like a bottle. It is wide inside and narrow outside. The mouth of the rock is narrow and small. The developed part is 481 meters long. There are many milky stones in the rock. It has been named more than 100 scenic spots. The main landscapes in the rock are as follows: the lotus pond is a wonder. There are 108 lotus leaf like cloud basins floating on the water. The basin is full of natural cave pearls, also known as cave pearls. They are the same size, shape and color as lotus. Lotus hanging upside down, the entrance of clusters of milk stone, such as pieces of lotus petals, oak, a huge lotus, high hanging cave top, gorgeous and eye-catching. Shuanglong out of the cave, into the rock more than 100 meters, on both sides of the cliff, each has a stone trough, winding, until the bottom of the cave, like two Jiaolong, flying outside the cave. Deep pool Python lotus pond left pool, unfathomable, and rock outside the river dark, after years do not dry up. There are stone marks on the Bank of the pool, one of which is deep like a python, with small stones, like scales, curling around the edge of the pool.

So, when did the rock change its name to "Lotus rock"? It starts in 1964. That year, after inspecting Yangshuo, comrade Tao Zhu, the first Secretary of the Central South Bureau, decided to build the beautiful Yangshuo into the eastern Geneva, and sent an old city reconstruction team to Yangshuo county to carry out the old city reconstruction. One of the members of the working group, Professor Jin (whose name is unknown, I only know that he is a professor from South China Institute of Technology), made a survey in Xingping town. After the survey, he heard the local people say that the scenery in "creeping rock" is very beautiful. So under the guidance of the local government leaders and the masses, with steam lamps and torches, they climbed into the rock to explore its development value. As soon as he entered the cave, he was deeply attracted by the cloud basin. At that time, it was mid April, and there was a lot of water in the cave. Professor Jin saw that these rocks were like lotus leaves floating on the water, and there were many round stones in the basin, which looked like lotus seeds. So he called it "Lotus basin" and called this landscape "lotus pond". Professor Jin highly appreciates this unique landscape and thinks that the rock is of great value. He introduces "Fu Di Yan" as a separate scenic spot in his "Xingping landscape planning description". He regards this wonder as the main scenic spot and calls it "Liantang". So the wonder of Liantang in "creeping rock" spread. When people talk about this wonder, they all call these cloud basins "Lotus basin". After a long time, they call this rock "Lotus rock" instead of "creeping rock".
