Monetary and Financial Museum
The money and finance Museum, opened by the Bank of Korea, is the only exhibition hall related to money and finance in South Korea. It has many historic coins, including the first one in South Korea. The museum is two stories high, formerly known as the old museum of Bank of Korea, which has a history of nearly 100 years. It has high appreciation value and is worth visiting.

The main building of Korean bank, designed by Japanese architect Kino Chenno in 1912, is one of the few existing modern buildings in Seoul in the 20th century. It is designated as a "historical landmark" for protection. There was a fire in 1945, another fire during the Korean War, and then it was restored in 1989. In 2001, the monetary and Financial Museum was listed here.

Development history
In June 1990, after the headquarters of Bank of Korea moved to the new building, it began to open a currency exhibition hall on the second floor of the original building. In December 1999, the former Bank of Korea headquarters building was officially designated as the Bank of Korea monetary and Financial Museum and renovated. In June 2001, the newly decorated Bank of Korea monetary and Financial Museum officially opened. In June 2003, the museum was designated as a first-class Museum in South Korea.
Architecture
Bank of Korea monetary and Financial Museum is a 20th century French Renaissance castle building, designed by Japanese designer keno Chenno. Kino Chenno is also the designer of Bank of Japan headquarters and Tokyo station. The building was originally designed as the Seoul Branch of the first Quanye bank and began construction in November 1907. When the building was completed in 1912, it was changed into the headquarters of the Bank of Korea, the Central Bank of Korea during the Japanese rule of Korea. In 1945, after the restoration of South Korea, the Bank of Korea was dissolved. The building became the headquarters of the Bank of Korea, the newly established central bank of Korea. In 1987, the Bank of Korea moved to a new building behind the building. After redecorating, the old building of Bank of Korea headquarters became the site of Bank of Korea monetary and Financial Museum, which officially opened on January 13, 2001.

The first exhibition room
In the exhibition room on the first floor, visitors can see all kinds of money and learn about the history of money development. "Currency square" displays all kinds of currencies in the world. Visitors can learn about the history of currency development from ancient currency to modern currency. There are also a large number of exotic currencies in the exhibition room, such as "arrow coin" which can be used as currency in peacetime and arrow in crisis.

On the second floor, apart from the experience space for children, there is also a world currency room displaying the currencies of more than 170 countries. Tourists can also see the currencies of different countries in the world. They are of different materials, shapes and sizes. In addition, you can also enjoy the works created with the materials of representative relics and buildings used on the currencies of various countries. Visitors can not only see with their eyes in the exhibition room on the second floor, but also learn currency related knowledge through personal experience. In the experience area for children, children can play currency unit puzzle with jigsaw puzzles, and can also print down ancient coin patterns with beautiful seals.
